Vangelis' score for Blade Runner is almost universally acclaimed, so it’s a brave move for the filmmaker, violinist and producer to bill his new performance as Zan Lyons Vs Blade Runner. Lyons remixes and re-imagines the movie by cutting up scenes and splicing them together while replacing the iconic music with his own live score. We’ve got two double passes to his performance at GoMA on Friday Feb 25, happening as part of the 21st Century: Art In The First Decade exhibition and the accompanying A New Tomorrow: Visions Of The Future In Cinema program.
