I missed this one tonight.

Just wondered if anyone has the details?

BTW, went to the recording of Deal or No Deal yesterday with Cherylh.  Had a great day and won an ipod nano as a prize draw for the audience.

In the next couple of days I'll put more information on about how it was run.

In order to enter, viewers must watch DEAL OR NO DEAL (“The Program”) at 17:30-18:00 (AEDT) each weeknight, broadcast on the Seven Network and affiliates during the Competition Period. Each night viewers will be required to register a case number, between 1 – 26, their name and state, within the corresponding daily entry period

In order to enter the draw, viewers must either:

or
b) telephone 1902 55 77 05 and register a case number (between 1-26), their name, address (including postcode) and contact daytime telephone number (including STD area code)

In order to win the Major Prize within each draw, one viewer will be electronically (randomly) selected from the National pool of entries for each respective draw and that viewer must have registered the matching “Lucky Case number” for that draw. For draw six, all entries registered within the Competition Period and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, will be in the draw to win a Winnebago Eyre Motorhome.

I think the odds are that only one Winnebago will be given away - and that will be in the second chance draw.

I would say that is excessive!

You would be happy to win, but I would be guessing around 60000 entries a day, so 200 entries out of that would be a 1 in 300 chance of winning likely only 2000 dollars, or a 1 in 7500 odd chance of winning the Winnie!

100 dollars x 1 in 7500 = buy the Winnebago for 750000 dollars!!

I guess if only 6000 enter daily that would be 75000 for the winnie, and a bargain.

I would predict a better day to enter would be maybe for monday or tues, because people may not know about the comp. I guess later in the week could be good for people who stop ringing after a few days.

Maybe the mods could tell us on a weekly comp like this, which days seem to catch the least entries?

Ok so the odds of being chosen from one entry are 1 in 6000 and then the odds of getting the winning number are 1 in 26 so total odds if I called 40 times every draw would be:   (1 / 6000) x (1 / 26) x 40 = 0.000256 = just a little better than buying a lottery ticket but ... isn't that why we enter competitions?
