The wheelchair bound tec is back for more crime fighting detectiveness with the release on DVD of Ironside Season 7 and thanks to the lovely folk at Madman we have three copies of the seven disc set to giveaway!
Ironside (played superbly by Raymond Burr) is San Francisco Police Chief of Detectives Robert T. Ironside who after being left paralysed by an assassins attempted murder works from a specially equipped office aided by a specialist team which includes Sgt Ed Brown (played by Don Galloway), Mark Sanger – a former con turned assistant and
police detective Elizabeth Baur.
There are plenty of guest stars popping up in this season including the likes of William Shatner, Sharon Gless, William Devane, Judy Carne, Desi Arnaz, Ross Martin, Kim Hunter and Jackie Coogan to name just a few. With its glossy Quincy Jones theme tune and groovy 1970′s fashion and production design Ironside is very much a treat to be savoured. Extras on the set include production notes and original story synopses and scripts as well as featuring two part story Amy Prentiss AKA The Chief which would basically serve as the pilot of the series Amy Prentiss.
