TERMS AND CONDITIONS
METHOD OF ENTRY
1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Entry is open to Australian residents only. Employees of SBS and their immediate families are ineligible. By entering this competition, entrants will be deemed to agree with these terms of entry.
3. The Eurovision Competition commences on Monday, 18 April, 2011 at 12:00 noon AEST and ends on Monday, 9 May, 2011 at 12:00 (noon) AEST.
To enter, participants must log onto
www.sbs.com.au/eurovision and follow the directions on the website. Participants must register their details, including (but not limited to) name, address, postcode and phone number and answer in 25 words or less the following questions, “Which famous Aussies would make the ultimate supergroup for the Eurovision Song Contest? (4 members maximum) What would their band name be?” and submit their entry by clicking on the “Enter Competition” button.
4. Online entries are limited to one entry per valid email address. All entries become and remain the property of SBS.
5. SBS reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of Australian residency status at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity, in order to claim a prize. Acceptance of proof of identification, Australian residency status and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the SBS. In the event that a winner cannot provide proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
6. Incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.
PRIZES
7. The Major Prize winner will receive:
• SONY DIGITAL HOME ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM, featuring a 55inch full HD 3D TV, Digital Radio Hi-Fi and Blu-Ray Home Theatre System; and
• contribution towards delivery and installation up to the value of $500. Cost of delivery and installation will vary depending on the location of the Major Prize winner. Delivery and installation is subject to clause 15 of these terms and conditions.

The Runner Up winner will receive:
OXX Digital`s Classic Digital Radio (DAB+). Valued at up to AU$299 (RRP)

8. All valid entries will be considered by a selection panel, comprised of representatives from SBS (“the Selection Panel”). The Major Prize winner and the Runner Up winner will be selected on Tuesday, 10 May, 2011 at 12:00 (noon) AEST. The winners will be selected by the Selection Panel based on literary and creative merit. The best entry, determined by the Selection Panel, will receive the Major Prize. The second best entry will receive the Runner Up prize. The winners will be notified by phone and email. The names of the winners will be published on the SBS website and published in The Australian on Monday, 16 May, 2011.
9. If the winners cannot be contacted by Thursday, 12 May 12:00 (noon) AEST, unclaimed prizes will be awarded to the next best valid entry determined by the Selection Panel. Winners of unclaimed prizes will be published on the SBS Website and in the Australian on Monday, 16 May 2011.
FINAL CONDITIONS
10. All prizes are as depicted or described in the promotions for the competition and are not subject to change.
11. SBS accepts no responsibility for any loss, damages, or injury incurred to enter the competition or in connection with taking up the prizes.
12. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
13. SBS takes no responsibility for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit.
14. Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). SBS accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
15. The delivery and installation date of the Major Prize for the Sydney and Melbourne metropolitan areas is 14 May 2011. If installation in Sydney and Melbourne is unable to be carried out on this date, it will be carried out at a time to be negotiated and agreed between SBS and the Major Prize winner. If the Major Prize winner is outside of the Sydney and Melbourne metropolitan areas, delivery and installation will be subject to negotiation and agreement with SBS. Entrants outside of the Sydney and Melbourne metropolitan areas should note they may incur additional costs for delivery and installation.
16. SBS accepts no responsibility for any loss, damages, or injury incurred in entering the competition or taking up the prize.
17. SBS assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alterations of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including, but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the promoter reserves the rights in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. 18. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged by the Selection Panel, based upon literary and creative merit. All entries must be the original independent creation of the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights.
19. The Selection Panel reserve the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the Selection Panel, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language. The Selection Panel's decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
20. All entries become and remain the property of SBS. SBS may use the entrants' names and addresses for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
21. All details of the entrants will be used and preserved in accordance with the National Privacy Principles. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to that office. Unless otherwise notified, SBS may use the entries and details of entrants for promotional and publicity purposes. Entrants consent to their full names and/or their entries being used in all media by SBS.
