This month Bounty continue with their schedule of classic movies and we’ve teamed up with them for a great Prize Pack offering you the chance to win one of three sets featuring five vintage greats!
First up is
Hell And High Water starring Richard Widmark at the height of his powers. It’s a sea-faring action flick from the mid fifties with Widmark playing a submarine commander who is given the task of finding out whether there is a secret communist nuclear base hidden out in the Arctic.
Victor Mature stars in
The Egyptian alongside Jean Simmons and Gene Tierney. It’s an epic tale that takes us back to ancient Egypt where a young orphan rises to become one of the greatest physicians of the age.
Battle at Apache Pass is a real case of Cowboys verses Indians in this story of the great Indian warriors Cochise and Geronimo (played by Jeff Chandler and Jay Silverheels aka Tonto from The Lone Ranger series). Tricked into fighting against the US Army Cochise eventually realises the error of his ways.
Clifton Webb headlines in the superb true life story
The Man Who Never Was, which tells the story of a daring operation by British Intelligence to lay a false trail prior to Allied invasion of Sicily in 1943.
Finally, there is the Cinemascope fuelled trio of Victor Mature, Lee Marvin and Ernest Borgnine in
Violent Saturday, which follows the planning of a bank robbery (and its violent aftermath) in a small southern town.
Great movies and definitely a must see for anyone with a love of classic Hollywood.
