MOVING TALE: An incredible life portrayed in danceAN exquisite ballet based on the true story of China’s Last Emperor will tour Australia throughout June and July.
Liaoning Ballet’s exquisite show, The Last Emperor ,is at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre from June 9-11, followed by performances in Canberra, Melbourne, Newcastle and Sydney.
The Last Emperor chronicles the life of Emperor Puyi, bestowed with his title when he was just three.
The emperor was a person who had to wear a mask his whole life and could never be himself, not even at the end. ``In a way I wanted to free him through dancing,’’ said choreographer, Ivan Cavallari.

Quest Newspapers has 21 double passes to the opening night of The Last Emperor on June 9 at the Lyric Theatre to give away, each valued at $200.
Entries close at 9am on May 20. Winners will be drawn at 10am and notified by mail. Results will be published on May 24, 25 & 26.
