The latest in Metro Arts’ Independents theatre series is Empire Burning. It’s a mixture of ancient history and science fiction in which Emperor Nero and the decaying Roman Empire are placed in modern times. Mysterious burning figures have begun appearing in the empire, foreshadowing a battle of power, politics and passions. Empire Burning runs from May 13 to May 28. We’ve got two double passes to the Wednesday May 18 performance, which includes entry to BackChat, the post-show artist Q&A session, to give away.
