Play The Riff's 60 Second Snatch

The Riff's 60 Second Snatch' is an interactive LIVE on air contest where a viewer at home works as a team with The Riff hosts to win big cash prizes!

To win the opportunity to compete live on The Riff all you need to do is watch Channel [V]'s Video Music Chart every Saturday morning, and fill out the online entry form answering the following questions:

- What artists do you think will be in the Top 5 Music Video Chart? and;
- In 25 words or less: If you could win $1000 cash, how would you spend it and why?

The rules of the game:

- Once a contestant is chosen they will be asked to be on the phone and watching their TV.
- With the help of the The Riff hosts (Danny, Billy, Jane or Kyle) the contestant must try to describe the image which will flash behind the host. - For each correct answer during the 60 seconds the contestant will win $100. - If for some reason it's taking too long for the host to guess the image you are able to say pass and try the next one. At no time are you able to say the name of the artist or actor in the image.

The Riff is on LIVE every Saturday at 10:30am.
[V] Music Video Chart is on every Satuday at 8am.

Competition closes 30 July, 2011.

which will air from 8.00am to 10.30am (AEST) on the date that particular Round
closes; and
e. in 25 words or less answer the following questions “If you could win $1000 cash, how
would you spend that cash and why?” (the “Competition Question”).
5. All entries must include the entrant’s name, address, postcode, preferred phone number
(including any area code), mobile phone number (if applicable), email address and date
of birth. All entries must be original and must not incorporate material which has been
previously published. Incomplete entries or those which, in the opinion of the Promoter,
infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party, contains any objectionable
content, profanity or is potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory will be ineligible to
win the Prize. It is each entrant’s responsibility to inform the Promoter if his/her residential
address, email address or phone number changes during the Competition Period.
6. Only one entry per person is permitted for each Round of the Competition and the use of
any automated software or any other mechanical or electronic means that permits the
participant automatically to enter repeatedly is prohibited (“Repeat Entry Device”). If the
Promoter reasonably believes that an entrant is using any Repeat Entry Device, the
Promoter may disqualify that entrant without notice.
ON-AIR COMPONENT
7. Once a entrant has been selected to go through to the On-Air Component (referred to as
the “Selected Entrant” - see Judging and Award of Prize below regarding the selection
process), a host from The Riff program which airs between 10.30 am-11.00am (AEST) on
Saturdays (“Program”) will telephone the Selected Entrant on his/her nominated
preferred phone number:

Program that day; and
b) again while live on air during the Program (“Call”);

that Round’s Selected Entrant.
9. A Program host will conduct the “The Riff’s 60 Seconds Snatch” segment of the Program
whilst on the Call to the Selected Entrant, which comprises the following elements and
rules:

clues to the Program host relating to the identity of various music artists who
have appeared in that week’s [V] Music Video Chart Show. The artists’ photos will
be displayed prominently behind the Program host and will be clearly visible to
the Selected Entrant, however, the host will not be able to see the photos of the
artists;
b) The Selected Entrant will provide clues to the Program host to assist the host in
correctly guessing the artists. In providing the clues, Selected Entrant must not at
anytime directly refer to or include the artists’ names and must only provide a
description (for example, the artists’ appearance, age, genre of music, hit songs);
c) In the event the Program host correctly guesses the identity of an artist, the
Selected Entrant will win $100 cash for each correct answer provided by the
Program host;
ONLINE SKILL
d) If a Selected Entrant uses or mentions the name of an artist or if the Program
host provides an incorrect guess for an artist, the Selected Entrant will not win the
corresponding $100 cash; and
e) The segment will end either upon the conclusion of the 60 seconds count-down.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS, INDEMNITY AND CONSENT OF SELECTED ENTRANTS
10. By entering into the Competition, each entrant acknowledges that the Program is a live
broadcast program and due to the nature of live broadcasting, if an entrant becomes a
Selected Entrant, he/she:
a) will not use any profane or offensive language or say anything which may be
deemed inappropriate, insulting, defamatory or otherwise unlawful at anytime
during the Call;
b) will indemnify and will keep the Promoter indemnified against any costs,
expenses or loss incurred by the Promoter as a result of any actions or
proceedings arising out of or relating to the Selected Entrant’s communications
during the Call;
c) acknowledges and agrees that the Promoter will have absolute discretion to
immediately stop the Call and disqualify the Selected Entrant (without prior notice
to him/her) in the event that the Selected Entrant says anything during the Call
which, in the opinion of the Program host or other representatives of the
Promoter, may be considered offensive, profane, insulting, defamatory,
inappropriate or illegal. In addition, no Prize will be awarded to that Selected
Entrant;
d) agrees and consents to having their name, voice and biography used,
communicated, broadcasted and recorded by the Promoter as part of the
Program and for promotional purposes in any media without restriction; and
e) agrees that the Promoter will not be responsible to the Selected Entrant or any
other person for any broadcasting interruptions or other unforseen technical
difficulties outside the Promoter’s control which may prevent the Promoter from
conducting the On-Air Component of the Competition. If a Call is disconnected or
discontinued at any time due to such unforseen circumstances, the Promoter is
under no obligations to provide that Selected Entrant a second-chance to
participate in a Call or to award the Prize or a substitute prize/s.
PRIZE
11. For each correct answer provided by the Program host, the Selected Entrant will win
$100. The total accrued cash winning value for each Round is referred to as the “Prize/s”.
12. In entering this Competition, each entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Program
host will use his/her best endeavours to correctly guess the artists. However, due to the
nature of the Competition, there is no guarantee that a Prize will be awarded to a
Selected Entrant.

at the Promoter’s sole discretion.
14. Only one Prize per person will be awarded.

Holt Drive, North Ryde, NSW 2113 at 9.35am (AEST) on the corresponding On-Air Component
date for each Round. The Promoter will choose one Selected Entrant to go through to the
On-Air Component of each Round of the Competition. Chance plays no part in the
selection of the Selected Entrants.
16. If a Selected Entrant is successful in winning a Prize in a Round, he/she will be contacted
by the Promoter on the first business day following the Program. The Prize winner will be
asked by the Promoter to nominate a bank account and The Prize will be transferred by
direct-debit into that Prize winner’s nominated bank account within 28 days.
17. If a Selected Entrant wins a Prize, the name of that Prize winner will be published on
Channel [V]’s website within 2 business days after the conclusion of that Round.
18. If a Prize winner cannot be contacted within 14 days after the On-Air Component, then
the Prize will be forfeited and a substitute prize will not be offered in lieu of the Prize.

of identity, residency, age and/or proof of entry validity if selected as the Prize winner or if
reasonably requested by the Promoter or the Promoter’s authorised agent. Proof of age,

parental and legal guardian supervision and guidance as well as express parental or legal
guardian permission to enter into this Competition and participate in the Competition in
