WIN a tour of the Australian Institute of Sport!

Play by the Rules and SportingPulse are once again joining forces to run an online competition titled ‘Fair and Fun for Everyone’, which is targeted at grassroots sporting clubs, players, coaches and officials.
To enter simply send a photo, YouTube video or a story demonstrating how your sport is ‘Fair and Fun for Everyone’. The winner will receive a personal tour of the Australian Institute of Sport for two people, return economy airfares to Canberra, one nights’ accommodation and car hire*. (*Terms and conditions apply).

Terms and Conditions

1. By entering this competition the entrant is accepting and agreeing to these terms and conditions.

2. Entrants must be members of an Australian sport or recreation club or organisation or participants in a school sport or physical activity program.

3. People under the age of 18 years of age must have the permission of their parent/guardian to enter the competition.

4. The competition will run from 20 June 2011 (AEST) and closes midnight on 24 July 2011 (AEST), and entries received after this time will not be accepted. The prize winner will be decided by the Play by the Rules National Manager and Co-Chairs.

5. Entries must either be an image (photo), YouTube video and/or a written description demonstrating how your sport is ‘Fair and Fun for Everyone’ and contain the full details of the entrant, including their name, gender, age, phone number, email, postcode as well as the name of their organisation or club.

6. Where an image or YouTube video is submitted:
a. the image/video must have been taken by the entrant (images taken by third parties are not eligible);
b. the image/video must not have been published, exhibited or have won a competition previously (this includes images/videos that were taken at the same time and are very similar);
c. the entrant must own the copyright in the image/video submitted; and
d. it is the entrant’s responsibility to obtain appropriate written permission from the individuals (or their parent/legal guardian where the person is under 18 years of age) who appear in an image/video. This should include consent for Play by the Rules to use the images of the individual in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The entrant must be able to provide written evidence of this consent if requested by Play by the Rules.

7. The entrant warrants that use of their entry (whether an image, YouTube video or written description) in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will not infringe the intellectual property rights, or rights of privacy, of any person.

8. Each entrant may only submit one entry in the competition.

9. This is a competition of skill and the winning entry will be chosen based on the creativity of their submitted answer. One winning entrant will be selected by the competition judges, who are chosen at the discretion of Play by the Rules. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered in to.

10. The prize winner will be notified by email/ mail and their name and state will be published on the Play by the Rules website www.playbytherules.net.au within two weeks of the decision date.

11. The winner will receive a personal tour of the Australian Institute of Sport for two people, return economy airfares for two people to Canberra from the winner’s closest capital city serviced by an airline partner to be determined by PBTR, one nights’ accommodation in Canberra (twin share) and car hire for one day. All bookings and choice of carrier, hotel and car hire will be made by PBTR.

12. If an entrant under the age of 18 years win the competition they must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.

13. To be eligible to drive the hire car at least one winner must hold a current Australian drivers licence and be over 25 years of age.

14. The date of the Australian Institute of Sport tour is on Friday, 28 October. The date of the tour is not negotiable.

15. The prize does not include any costs of getting to the airport, travel insurance, spending money or any other costs of a personal nature not specifically included in these Terms and Conditions.

16. Each entrant agrees to allow Play by the Rules to use their entry and their name and activity details for Play by the Rules’ promotional and marketing activities, as well as the promotion and marketing of the ‘Play by the Rules’ website. Such use may include, without limitation, displaying the image or written entry and entrant details on the Play by the Rules website and ‘Play by the Rules’ partner agencies’ websites and in newsletters and other publications.

17. Written entries may be edited to suit the Play by the Rules corporate style.

18. Prizes are not negotiable, transferable, or redeemable for cash.

19. Play by the Rules has the right to disqualify, at its discretion, any entry that fails to comply with these terms and conditions or which it deems inappropriate for the competition.

20. Play by the Rules reserves the right to cancel, suspend or postpone the competition at any time and for any reason. Play by the Rules will not be liable to any person for any loss, damage or claim arising from this competition or such cancellation, suspension or postponement.

21. Privacy Notice: Any personal information submitted by the entrant is collected by Play by the Rules for the purpose of running the competition. Play by the Rules may also publish the name, state/territory and activity of entrants as set out in paragraph 6, 10 and 16 of these terms and conditions.
