1 GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.
1.2 Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
1.3 The competition commences on Tuesday 26th July 2011 at 00:01 (AEST) and concludes
on Sunday 2nd October 2011 at 23:59 (AEDT).
1.4 The competition will be advertised during The Renovators on Network TEN, online at
http://www.therenovatorstv.com.au/2 ENTRY ELIGIBILTY
2.1 Entry is open to all residents of Australia
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of Network TEN, and their associated
agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.
3 HOW TO ENTER
3.1 To enter, participants must log onto
http://www.therenovatorstv.com.au/ and must
upload one before and one after renovation photo, write a synopsis of their
renovation story. Entrants are required to be a TEN member to enter online. Entrants
may register to become a member via the website. It is free to become a member.
These Terms and Conditions apply in conjunction with the website Membership rules..
3.2 Any entry that is made on behalf of an Entrant by a third party will be invalid.
3.3 Only one prize type per household is permitted (SA residents are entitled to win
more than one prize).
3.4 The cost of accessing the promotional website will be dependent on the entrant’s
individual Internet Service Provider.
4 PRIZE DETAILS
4.1 Five (5) Winners (1 x per fortnight) will each receive:
- $2,500 Bunnings Gift card
Total prize pool valued at up to $12,500 (including GST)

stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses (including installation costs)
become the responsibility of the winner.
4.4 If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to
substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to State Regulation.
4.5 The promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all
aspects of the prize, if the promoter determines, in their absolute discretion, that a
winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely
participate in the prize. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may
be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the promoter in its

absolute discretion.
4.6 By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in and co-operate as
required with all reasonable media editorial requests relating to the prize, including
but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, filmed and/or chaperoned
throughout the duration of the prize.
4.7 In consideration for the Promoter awarding the prize to the winner, the winner
hereby assigns to the Promoter all right, title and interest in and to all copyright in
any material created pursuant to the winner’s participation in any aspect of the prize
(Works). The winner acknowledges that the Promoter is free to use the Works and to
exercise its rights in relation thereto and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for
such use.
4.8 In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the
prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be
forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the
prize.
4.9 Once prizes have left the Promoter’s premises, the Promoter takes no responsibility
for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit.
4.10 Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing
(inclusive of GST). The promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value
between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
4.11 Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a
result of accepting the prize. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner
must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s
requirements.
5 JUDGING
5.1 This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners.
5.2 All entrants will be judged on the individuals’ renovation pictures and story.
5.3 Entries that are or include obscene, offensive, defamatory, inappropriate, unsuitable,
or infringing content as determined by the Promoter at its sole discretion will be
deemed invalid, are not acceptable and not eligible to win.
5.4 All judging of eligible entrants will be undertaken by the Promoter at the premises of
Network Ten, 1 Saunders Street, Pyrmont, NSW 2009. The judge’s decision is final
and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.5 The time of entry will in each case be the time the online entry is received by the
Promoter’s database. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or
misdirected entries including entries not received by the Promoter or delays in the
delivery of the entry due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any
other reason.
5.6 The winners will be notified within 2 days of the judging. The winners will be notified
of their prize in writing.
5.7 Prizes will be awarded to person named in the entry.

5.8 Should an entrant’s contact details change during the promotional period, it is the
entrant's responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any
information provided in an entry should be directed to Promoter.
6 STANDARD TERMS
6.1 The Promoter and associated agencies accept no responsibility for any breach of
contract or any infringement or other violation of copyright or another intellectual
property rights or proprietary rights through the acceptance of entries into this
contest and each entrant takes full responsibility for any such claims made in relation
to their entry.
6.2 Participants warrant that they own copyright in the images that they upload and that
they are not infringing the rights of any third party by doing so. Any image or text
that is found to breach copyright or the rights of any third party will be immediately
taken down and a member may be banned from further submitting material to the
site.
6.3 By submitting an image, question or comment to the Before and After section, you
acknowledge that Ten and/or Shine (Aust) Pty Limited (“Shine”) are not responsible
for any response you receive or do not receive, and you agree to hold Ten and Shine
harmless from any loss, harm, injury or damage resulting from or arising out of your
submission of any question or your use of or reliance on any response thereto
6.4 By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to assign all rights in the entry and any
other material submitted as part of or in connection with an entry (“Material”) to the
Promoter and consents to Ten and/or Shine (Aust) Pty Limited (“Shine”) using the
entry and Material in any manner the Promoter wishes (including modifying,
adapting or publishing the Entry and Material in whole or in part or not at all), by
way of all media, including, without limitation, posting their entry and Material
(whether in original form or a modified or adapted by the Promoter as permitted
under this paragraph) on the Promoter’s website without payment to the entrant (of
royalties, compensation or otherwise).
6.5 The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity,
proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry
validity (store receipt for purchase requirement) in order to claim a prize. Proof of
identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the
discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof,
the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered
6.6 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any
entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity,
potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant
who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance
with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter,
engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading,
deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion
and/or Promoter. This includes, but not limited, to entrants and households using
multiple email addresses, postal addresses, PO Box addresses or SIM cards to

register single or multiple purchases. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a
winner if Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry is of a
type described in this clause.
6.7 Any entry that is made on behalf of an Entrant by a third party will be invalid.
6.8 The promoter’s decision is final and the promoter will not enter into correspondence
regarding the Competition result.
6.9 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or
significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the
dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not
limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil
unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel
the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to
any written directions given under State Regulation.
6.10 The Promoter and Shine Australia Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any loss or damage
whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential
loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s
except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter and Shine
Australia Pty Ltd are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information,
either caused by the phone user or for any of the equipment or programming
associated with or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any
combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this
competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation
or transmission, communications line or satellite network failure, theft or destruction
or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
6.11 The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who
the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or
engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the
fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover
damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
6.12 Network TEN, and their associated agencies and companies assume no responsibility
for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or
transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access
to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be
available.
6.13 If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due
to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud,
technical failures or any causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or
affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this
promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any
individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available,
and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any written
direction given under State Regulation.
6.14 By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that
the Promoter may use this information, in any media for future promotional,
marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other

compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages.
6.15 The Promoter is collecting the entrant's personal information for the purpose of
conducting and promoting this competition (including but not limited to
determining and notifying winner). If you are not willing for this to occur you cannot
participate in the Promotion.
