The Department for Communities – Seniors Card Centre is pleased to acknowledge Western Australian businesses that support seniors by offering discounts to Seniors Card holders.
Each month, a prize is available from one of our generous Seniors Card business supporters.
Barking Gecko Theatre Company have kindly provided five double passes to their new performance, The Amber Amulet, at the Subiaco Arts Centre for lucky Seniors Card holders to win this September.
“Meet Liam McKenzie, a lonely twelve year old boy whose alter ego is the Masked Avenger - a superhero with powers so potent, so fast, not even he can fully comprehend their extent. Along with his sidekick, Richie The Powerbeagle, Liam protects the streets of his neighbourhood. One night while on patrol, Liam meets Joan, a young woman weighed down by troubles, and there begins an extraordinary friendship. Does Liam hold the secret to restoring her happiness? And at what cost?”
The Amber Amulet, by bestselling author Craig Silvey, is a hilarious and highly entertaining coming of age story filled with pathos and humor. Adapted for the stage and directed by John Sheedy, this play will delight both the young and the young at heart.
Showing at the Subiaco Arts Centre, 4-15 October, Tue-Sat, 10.30am and 1.00pm. Suitable for Ages 8+ and families.
