Total maximum prize pool value is $11,430. Prize value is correct as at the date of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate date on which the prize is taken.
In accepting the major prize the winners and their nominated travel companion agree to participate in and co-operate with all reasonable media editorial requests, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, and the winners grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
The major prize winners and their nominated travel companions agree they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the major prize winners and their nominated travel companions must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and Prize Supplier’s requirements.
Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash and are not transferable or exchangeable. The travel companion nominated by the major prize winners (as outlined in clause 5.1), once nominated are not transferable
The major prize winners and their nominated travel companions must be 18 years of age or older and must provide valid identification to the Promoter.
The major prize winners and their travel companions must commence and complete their travel between 1 April 2012 and 30 October 2012 and cannot take travel during travel black out period from 1 July 2012 until 16 August 2012 (inclusive). The major prize winners and their nominated travel companions must travel together on the same flights on all sectors. There can be no changes made to travel arrangements once itineraries or tickets are issued, including no name changes. The Prize Sponsor will inform the major prize winners of their flight times and dates no later than 5 weeks before scheduled departure.
The major prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated. If the prize is not utilised by 30 October 2012 it will be fortified.
As the major prize travel and tour commencement is subject to availability at the time of booking the major prize winners must confirm their travel dates and times not later than 8 weeks before departure.
Any changes made to the booking by the major prize winners or their travel companions, including extending the trip, are at the winner’s expense and must be arranged by the winner.
The major prize winners and their travelling companions must travel on the same flight, at the same time, must depart from the same capital city and are responsible for their own transport from their residence to their nearest capital city (Adelaide/Brisbane/Melbourne/Perth/Sydney) for flight departure to Paris, France. The Promoter will not be liable for any cost arising from or otherwise related to delays or cancellations to the travel booked by the winners, either to or from the nominated capital city and their residence. All booking and costs related to obtaining, amending or otherwise concerning the travel to/from their residence and the nominated capital city are the responsibility of the winners.
For clarity, if the major prize winners and their travel companions live in Tasmania then they are responsible for transport from their residence to their nearest capital city for flight departure (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth). The Promoter will not be liable for any cost arising from or otherwise related to delays or cancellations to the connecting flight(s) booked by the winners, either to or from the nominated capital city and Tasmania. All booking and costs related to obtaining, amending or otherwise concerning the connecting flight(s) to/from Tasmania and the nominated capital city are the responsibility of the winners.
Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the major prize winners. Subject to the prize inclusions, the major prize winners and their travel companions are responsible for all expenses including but not limited to spending money, transfers, meals, drinks, incidentals, mini-bar, in-room video, laundry, room service, telephone calls, activities, insurance, energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, passports and all other ancillary costs. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the major prize winners at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges.
The major prize winners are responsible for ensuring that all those travelling have valid passports and applicable visas. The Promoter will not be held responsible for any loss or delay that may occur as a result of any passport or visa not being produced in time for travel. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if the major prize winner’s nominated travel companion cannot travel because of non-compliance with any passport, visa or immigration requirements.
Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the major prize winners and their nominated travel companions.
Travel insurance is not included in the cost of the prize and is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
The Promoter may require the major prize winners and their nominated travel companions to sign a waiver of liability and indemnity in the form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.
