WIN A SPRING RACING WEEKEND FOR YOU AND A FRIEND COMPETITION
1. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these terms and conditions. If there is any conflict between these terms and conditions and any other published material, these terms and conditions are to prevail. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Entry is only open to Sportscraft VIP members who are Australian residents in QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW, WA, SA, NT or TAS, who are 18 years of age or over and who enter the competition by providing a response to the question “Tell us what you love most about the spring racing season” (“Eligible Entrants”). Employees of the Promoter (and their immediate families) and its agencies associated with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
3. The promotion commences at 12.01am (AEST) Tuesday, 11 October 2011 and closes at 11.59pm (AEST) Tuesday 18 October 2011 (“Promotional Period”).
4. To receive an entry into the draw Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotional Period, enter the competition by answering the question “Tell us what you love most about the spring racing season”.
5. The entries will be judged at 2.00pm (AEST) on Wednesday, 19 October 2011 at 830 Elizabeth St Street, Waterloo NSW 2017. The winners will be notified by telephone by Wednesday, 19 October 2011 and via email the same week, and will be announced on the Sportscraft website on Friday, 21 October 2011.
6. There will be one judge of the entries and six winners. The best entry will receive the major prize and five runners up will receive a minor prize each. Each winner must claim and confirm their eligibility to accept their prize as stated by 5.00pm (AEST) on Thursday, 20 October 2011. If any winner fails to claim their prize by this time, they will forfeit the prize (and no compensation will be given or paid in lieu), and another draw will take place on Friday, 21 October 2011, at the same time and place as the original draw, until a winner/s is able to accept the prize as stated. The second chance draw winner/s will be notified by telephone on Friday, 21 October 2011 and via email the same day. The details of the second draw winner/s will be announced on the Sportscraft website on Monday, 24 October 2011.
Major Prize Winner:
If the major prize winner is an Australian resident who lives in NSW, ACT, QLD, WA, SA, NT or TAS the prize will include;
• 2 x Carbine Marquee tickets to attend the AAMI Victoria Derby Day on Saturday, 29th October, valued at $720 (includes coach transfers to Flemington racecourse from Victorian Arts Centre Melbourne, entry, complimentary wine, beer or soft drink on arrival, racebook for each guest, lunch, afternoon tea, reserved seating).
• 1 x Sportscraft gift voucher valued at a total of $500 to be claimed by the winner and/or their guest. A $500 gift voucher will be provided to the 1 winner to be claimed at a Sportscraft freestanding store within 12 months of voucher issue date. The total of $500 must be spent within stated period and no refund or gift vouchers will be given if less is spent on the day.
• 2 x economy return airfares from the winner’s nearest Australian capital city to Melbourne (the winner and their guest must travel together on the same flights). Maximum total flight value of $1,200 or less depending on departure location.
• 2 nights accommodation, in a Studio Suite at The Olsen Melbourne, two people in the one room (in 28 October 2011, out 30 October 2011). Total maximum value $658.
Total maximum retail value of the Major prize, depending upon the winner’s point of departure, is $3,078.
If the winner of the Major Prize is a Victorian resident their prize will include;

Minor Prize Winners:
There will be 5 minor prize winners, and each minor prize includes:
• 1 x $100 Sportscraft gift vouchers.
7. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prize is not exchangeable, transferable or redeemable for cash. Winners will be contacted using the details included in their Sportscraft VIP Membership and/or competition entry. The promoter will not be responsible for any incorrect details included in the winners contact information. Any ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner. If a winner is unable to utilise the prize on the dates stated they will forfeit the prize, and another winner will be chosen, and no compensation will be paid in lieu.
Prize is not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash or any other goods or services nor can they be re-sold. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value, performance, or availability of any prize. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the advertised prize for a prize of equivalent or greater retail value if, for any reason beyond the Promoters control, the Promoter are not able to give the prize-winner the advertised prize, subject to State legislation. Any incidental costs relating to the prize are the responsibility of the winner.
8.All people included in the prize must be 18 years of age or over.
9. Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the responsibility of the winners. The winners (and their companions) are responsible for all expenses including but not limited to additional spending money, transfers (other than that specified), meals, drinks, incidentals, mini-bar, laundry, room service, telephone calls, activities, insurance, taxes, energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner at check-in to the hotel, for all incidental charges. The winner (and their companions) is also responsible for ensuring that they have suitable travel insurance for the travel period. Travel insurance is not included in the prize and will be the responsibility of the winner. Travel insurance is strongly recommended by the Promoters.
10. Any fees, taxes, surcharges, and/or service charges are the responsibility of the passengers. All Fees are payable via credit card and are non-refundable.
11. Travel arrangements to and from home, hotel and airport do not form part of the prize and are the responsibility of the winner (and their companions).
12. Photo identification and credit card or cash deposit may be required at hotel check-in for incidental charges.
13. All elements of the prize must be taken together.
14. The winner is responsible for the payment of any applicable airline excess baggage fees or other fees, taxes and surcharges.
15. The name on the airfare bookings must appear exactly as written in your official identification and that of your traveling companions. The Promoters are not responsible for denied boarding or any re-issue costs charged by the airline due to an incorrect name supplied to the Promoters.
16. The Promoter is not responsible for any inconvenience or any costs or fees incurred by airline flight delays, lost luggage, cancellation or disruption of air service. Air transportation is subject to the terms and conditions of the airline’s terms and conditions. You agree to abide by such terms and conditions including, but not limited to, payment of all amounts when due. You understand that any violation of any such rules and restrictions may result in cancellation of your reservation(s) and/or in your being denied access to the applicable travel product or services.
17. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoters and their associated agencies and companies will not be liable to any person for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this promotion or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
18. The Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or a consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of taking any prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
19. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever resulting from incorrect details lodged by entrants.
20. The Promoter reserves the right (subject to written directions from State Regulatory bodies and any applicable law subject) to vary the rules of any competition or any prizes offered or cancel any competition if it is no longer able to run the competition due to reasons beyond its control. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage to any party arising from any variation or cancellation.
21. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including (but not limited to) any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
