10 x Japanese Film Festival single session double passes in Sydney & Melbourne
Celebrate the spirit of Japan, win a pass to a screening at the Japanese Film Festival thanks to the Japan Foundation.
After a year of man-made and natural disasters, celebrate the resilient spirit of Japan at the Japanese Film Festival. While a cloud of sentiment hangs over the festival's fifteenth year, Festival Director, Konomi Masafumi, of Sydney's Japan Foundation, has programmed a schedule that's celebratory, entertaining and enthusiastically Japanese. There are diverse films on offer, such as the surreal comedy Honeymoon In Hell; Studio Ghibli's latest animated feat, Arrietty; the samurai drama, The Last Ronin; director Hideyuki Hirayama's powerful WW2 biopic Oba: The Last Samurai; the moving documentary, Yamakosi: The Recovery Of A Tiny Japanese Village; and the high octane pop culture juggernauts Gantz and Space Battleship Yamato.
For your chance to win one of 5 double passes to a session in Sydney and one of 5 in Melbourne, tell us what your favourite Japanese film is and why. Entries close November 16. Email to
