Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Entry to the competition is free (excluding internet charges) and is only open to Australian and New Zealand entrants who are 18 years or over. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, Jucy, Tourism New Zealand and YHA New Zealand and their related entities are ineligible to enter.
The promotion commences at 9.00am AEST Monday 7 November 2011 and closes at 12.00am AEST Monday 5 December 2011 ("Promotion Period").
There is only one entry per person permitted.
To enter the competition, participants must visit the promotion website at
www.wotif.com during the promotion period and enter their details: name, email address, telephone number, and sign up to the Wotif.com newsletter and tell us in 25 words or less their best backpacking story.
All valid entries will be judged and the most creative entry will be chosen by 12.00pm AEST Friday 9 December 2011 at 7 Baroona Road, Milton Qld 4064.

During the three weeks backpacking trip the winner will be required to keep a written blog of their experiences as well as take photos and/or video of their trip. The winner agrees that the written blog and images (both video and photo) may then be used by Wotif.com, YHA, Jucy and/or Tourism New Zealand as a way of further promoting the areas visited by the winner.
By accepting this prize, the winner and their chosen guest accept to having their likeness, photos and videos of themselves used for further promotion of the places visited and activities undertaken by Wotif.com, YHA, Jucy and/or Tourism New Zealand
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release document and/or other documents of consent in respect of the prize. These documents will be provided in a form to be determined by the Promoter.

With regard to the flights all bookings using the Prize Voucher must be made through the Wotflight Marketing team by no later than Thursday 7 June 2012.
Cash cannot be contributed towards the balance of the flights. Any unused value of the Prize Voucher will not be redeemed for cash or other form of credit.
If the winner is based within Australia, two return flights will be provided from their nearest capital city to Auckland and if the winner is from New Zealand, flights will be provided from their nearest capital city to Auckland.
Should the winner of the main draw be uncontactable, another winner will be chosen 12.00pm AEST Friday 9 March 2012 at 7 Baroona Road, Milton Qld 4064.
The Prize is valid for 6 months from the date of issue and bookings are subject to availability at the time of booking. Some blackout periods may apply.
Prize must be redeemed and taken prior to 30 June 2012.
The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, non-replaceable and non-redeemable for cash.
The maximum total value of the prize pool is valued up to $7,332.
The winner will be notified by email or phone within 2 days of the draw. The winner’s details will also be published at
www.wotif.com for a period of three months.
Visas, passports and all entry, exit, health or other documents required by law, regulations, orders, demands or requirements of the country visited or transited are the responsibility of the winner and their guest. Both the prize winner and their guest must possess a valid passport and be eligible to travel to New Zealand both at the time of booking and also at the time of travel.
It is the winner’s responsibility to purchase any travel insurance they may require whilst on their prize holiday.
The prize does not (except as expressly states) include: transfers, other transport or accommodation, meals or beverages, airport taxes or arrival or departure taxes, incidental hotel charges (such as mini-bar, telephone calls, in-house movies, data-usage), food or beverages, spending money, insurance such as travel or health cover, vaccinations or other medical or health related services, any other ancillary costs which may be incurred by the winner or their guest in relation to the prize trip.
The Promoter expressly reserves the right to resolve any discrepancies, disputes or otherwise unforeseen circumstances as it deems fit and the Promoter’s decision will be final and binding upon every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter expressly reserves the right to change or alter these Terms and Conditions at any time.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, misdirected or illegible submissions.
The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that is suffered by any entrant or winner (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a result of taking any prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
The Promoter shall not be responsible for any entries that are not received or are otherwise interfered with due to problems with the internet or telecommunications services.
If this promotion is not capable of running as planned due to any reason, including unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to any applicable law) in its sole discretion to cancel the competition or to disqualify any individual who has tampered with the entry process.
