Bring Back Family Fun Competition

Congratulations to all winners in our Facebook competition!

Week 1 winners:

John Staley, VIC

Making and flying a kite with your kids. The look of joy on their faces when they realise what they made can fly is priceless.

Felicity Kay, VIC

Local billy cart races, where the carts have to be home made from recycled goods!

Nicole Erickson, QLD

We have Friday Family Fun night! The treasure hunt was best so far, kids had a map and found balloons filled with treasure to pop!

Marion Colman, VIC

We are going to invite the grandkids aged 2 to 8 to come and make scarecrows for the orchard and vegetable garden.

Rob Porter, VIC

At a recent BBQ, the whole family bobbed for apples. It was great fun on a warm day!

Mary Reynolds, QLD

Play 'Who Am I?' - all you need is your Post-it notes for this great guessing game, even the littlies can play.

Bonita Meddows, NSW

When the kids were little, we had Joke Night once a week. Surprising how much food got accidentally 'spat' across the table from laughter!

Week 2 winners:

Melanie Moran, VIC
We play "Spot the animal" during long car trips. Lots of fun spotting different cows when driving to see family in East Gippsland...Devondale country!!!

Louise Firli, VIC
Have a garage sale complete with a cake and/or craft stall of stuff you and your family have made together.

Michelle Dunham, SA
Hide-and-seek in the dark. All lights off and hide one person has to search using a torch always hilarious.

Michelle Vamvas, VIC
Balloon Volleyball: Make teams hit the balloon over a string (about head height)  without the balloon hitting the ground. First to 15 wins.

Kellie McWaters, VIC
With my daughter I like to go bikeriding fly kites go swimming or make tin telephones. More time spent outdoors makes for a healthier life!

Anne Morgan, NSW
Everyone puts a note with their preferred activity into a hat and once a month someone gets to pick one out and off you go!

Tracey Stephenson, QLD
Place suburbs/towns in a box, pack a picnic lunch, load kids in car, pick a destination from the box and drive to a mystery picnic!

Week 3 winners:

Fiona Charlton, NSW
Give family communication a whole new twist with a Family Newsletter.  Fun, educational and more importantly a great way to keep families connected.

Narelle Greenhalgh, WA
We love teaching our kids that imagination is the key, like making a cubbyhouse from the trees - not plastic bought from the shops.

Cathy Bowdler, QLD
Treasure hunts for the kids. We write clues leading to more clues, and eventually a prize on our farm. This means great adventures outside!

Vicki Griffin, QLD
Elastics - good for co-ordination, cheap, fun, and gets the heart rate and giggles going!

Kristy Annett, VIC
Once a month we have Sunday Funday. Each of us chooses an activity and we spend the whole day together as a family.

Adele Smith, NSW
Create a 'craft party' - get the family together with some nibblies, and start making some Christmas decorations.

Sophie Wright, VIC
We love walking around our streets and collecting 'treasures' like leaves and flowers, then creating artworks on cardboard. A fun activity that can last hours.
Go for it, give it a tweet!
