Terms and Conditions
Promoter’s details
1. The promoter is South Bank Corporation ABN 95 927 817 538, Ground Floor, South Bank House, Stanley Street Plaza, Brisbane Qld 4101 (“the Promoter”).
Who can enter?
2. Entry is open to all Queensland residents over 18 years of age.
3. Entry must be by an individual, not a company or other organisation.
4. Directors, management and employees of the Promoter and any agencies, firms and/or companies associated with the Competition (including suppliers of the prize) and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
How to enter
5. The Competition commences at 12:00noon Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Friday 18 November 2011 and finishes on Friday 9 December 2011. All entries must be received by 12 midnight (AEST) on Friday 9 December 2011. Late entries will not be accepted.
6. To enter the Competition, nominate someone you know who has demonstrated exceptional community spirit or perhaps someone who has had a challenging year and is in need of a well-earned rest. Such rest will be in the form of a gala family picnic prize (picnic for up to four (4) people) on Saturday, 17 December 2011 from 6:00pm. The picnic experience prize is a on a set date only so please make sure your couple/family are available at this time. Submit your couple or family nomination by providing the name, email address, postal address and a daytime number for one member out of the couple/family you nominate and explain in 500 words or less why the couple/family you nominate deserves a picnic experience. Submit your entry via the web site

7. Each entry must contain your name, email address, postal address and a daytime telephone number. If you do not supply all of the required information, your entry will be deemed invalid.
8. You may enter the Competition as many times as you like.
9. Any person who, in the opinion of the Promoter, tampers or interferes with the entry process in any way, or who does not properly comply with the entry process or these terms and conditions is not eligible to win.
10. Entries which are considered by the Promoter, in the Promoter’s sole discretion, to be offensive, defamatory, contain offensive material, offend third party intellectual rights, are incomplete, incorrect or incomprehensible, will be disqualified from the Competition and removed from the Competition website.
Selection of the Winners and Prizes
11. Valid entries will be judged by the Promoter’s panel of judges. The top ten (10) nominations which are judged to be the best, most original and creative by the Promoter’s panel of judges, in their absolute discretion, will win the picnic experience prize.
12. The winners of the picnic experience prize will be invited to the Promoter’s gala picnic event on Saturday, 17 December 2011 from 6:00pm (this is a on a set date only). The winning couple/family will be provided with a picnic hamper to be provided by one of the Promoter’s retailers – valued at approximately $120 per hamper (based on a four (4) person hamper). No special dietary requirements can be catered for.

13. All entrants who nominated a couple/family for a picnic experience prize will then go into a random draw on Tuesday, 20 December 2011 to win a gift voucher for 2 nights accommodation including full buffet breakfast for two adults at Novotel Twin Waters on the Sunshine Coast, valued at over $700. The gift voucher is valid for 6 months from the date notified by the Promoter. Please see below ‘Picnic Experience Prize Terms of Use’.
14. The random draw winner must contact Novotel Twin Waters for booking information and terms and conditions of claiming the major prize. Contact details for Novotel Twin Waters will be provided on the random draw winner’s gift voucher. The random draw winner must arrange own transport to and from Novotel Twin Waters.
15. The picnic experience prize winners will be contacted by phone on Monday 12 December 2011. The picnic experience prize is only available on Saturday, 17 December 2011 from 6:00pm (a set date only). This prize is not transferable, negotiable or redeemable for cash.
16. The random draw winner will be contacted by phone on Tuesday 20 December 2011. The gift voucher for the random draw prize will be available for collection from the Promoter until Friday, 23 December 2011, but not on a public holiday or when the Promoter’s offices are closed.
17. If the gift voucher for the random draw prize is not collected from the Promoter by 5:00pm on Friday, 23 December 2011, the winner will be disqualified and the Promoter’s panel of judges may select a runner up winner, in their absolute discretion, to award this prize. The runner up winner will be contacted by phone by Friday, 6 January 2012.
18. Decisions of the Promoter and its panel of judges are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
Picnic Experience Prize Terms of Use
19. The picnic gala event will be sectioned off from the general public areas and South Bank Corporation security personnel will monitor entry into and out of this area. The winner of this prize and guests (maximum 2 people for a couple nomination and maximum 4 people for a family nomination) may be required to wear a wrist band/hold a ticket to permit entry into and out of the picnic gala area.
20. To claim this prize, the winner must present him/herself and their partner/family guests to South Bank Corporation security personnel at the picnic gala area between 5.30pm and 6:00pm on Saturday, 17 December 2011. The winner must bring proof of identification and may need to present it to South Bank Corporation security personnel at the entry to the picnic gala area.
21. If the winner’s picnic gala area is not claimed by the winner by 7.15pm on Saturday, 17 December 2011, the winner will be disqualified and the winner’s picnic gala area will be forfeited. South Bank Corporation may, at its sole discretion, permit other persons to occupy the winner’s picnic gala area. Decisions of the South Bank Corporation are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
22. The picnic gala area will be available for use by the winner and the winner’s set guests from 6.00pm to 10.00pm, Saturday 17 December 2011.
23. The following items are prohibited in the picnic gala area and the South Bank Parklands:
a. alcohol;
b. glass receptacles;
c. open bottles and bottles with broken seals;
d. bicycles;
e. skateboards;
f. boogie boards;
g. dogs;
h. scooters; and
i. rollerblades.
24. No alcoholic beverages will be provided with the picnic, only some non-alcoholic beverages. Subject to the prohibited items listed above, the winner and guests are permitted to bring their own additional food and non-alcoholic beverages into the picnic gala area, if desired. Alcoholic beverages will be sold from a bar contained in the picnic gala area. South Bank Corporation encourages the responsible service and consumption of alcohol.

25. The winner and their set guests must present all bags for inspection by South Bank Corporation security personnel, if requested.
26. The rights granted to the winner and guests are not exclusive and South Bank Corporation reserves the right to, at its sole discretion, refuse entry to or remove persons who are causing a nuisance, disturbance or engaging in lewd or offensive behaviour.
Your warranties
27. By entering the Competition, you warrant that:
a) The details contained in and with your entry are true and correct;
b) You have all necessary rights and licenses to enable you to accept these Terms and Conditions and grant the rights contained in these Terms and Conditions to the Promoter;
c) At least one member of the couple/family you nominate is over 18 years of age.
d) If the Promoter exercises the rights contained in these Terms and Conditions, it will not infringe the rights of any third parties.
28. You indemnify the Promoter against any loss, damage or claim for compensation resulting from your breach of any of the warranties contained in Condition 27.
General
29. The prizes described herein are not transferable, negotiable or redeemable for cash.
30. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or for any technical difficulties or periods of unavailability of the entry mechanism.
31. Once submitted, your entry is the property of the Promoter and it will not be returned to you. Subject to the Promoter’s privacy policy at
www.southbankcorporation.com.au/privacy, you agree that the Promoter can use your entry and personal details for the Promoter’s promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media without notice and without any fee being paid to you. The personal details of your nominee will remain private and will not be used by the Promoter in the future.
32. You agree to be contacted by the Promoter about the Competition and to participate in the Promoter’s publicity activities as reasonably requested, including being photographed by the Promoter for use by the Promoter in future marketing and promotional activities, without any fee being paid to you.
33. You agree that by submitting your entry, you will be entered into and registered on the South Bank Corporation database so that you can receive regular updates, marketing and promotional material from the Promoter. There is no fee for this subscription.
