The Examiner Melbourne and Beyond Promotion Terms and Conditions
Duration: The competition commences on 27 November 2011 at 00:01 (AEDT) and concludes on 19 December 2011 at 09:00 (AEST).
The Promoter referred to in these Conditions of Entry is The Examiner Newspaper Pty Ltd ABN 75 009 590 998 71-75 Paterson Street, Launceston.
1. Entry to the weekly competition is free with the purchase of copies of The Examiner and/or The Sunday Examiner carrying the Melbourne and Beyond publication.
2. Entries submitted on copies or facsimiles are not eligible. The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries.
3. No responsibility will be taken for late, lost or misdirected entries or attached documents or materials.
4. Entries must be received by the closing date and time stated on the entry coupon or in separate Terms and Conditions indicated on the entry coupon or as otherwise specified.
5. Winners agree to publication of their names and photographs.
6. The promoters and their employees and agents will not be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with any competition, the promotion of any competition or the use of any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
7. The judges’ and/or independent auditors’ decision is final.
Melbourne and Beyond Magazine Prize and Entry Details
1. Prize entrants have the chance to win one (1) of two (2) travel prizes consisting of:
• Return flights for two from Launceston to Melbourne flying Sharp Airlines.
• Two (2) night’s accommodation for two (2) at the Bayview Eden Motel, 6 Queens Road, Melbourne.
• Two (2) ‘A’ Reserve Tickets to ‘A Chorus Line’ at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
2. The winning entries will be drawn on Wednesday 21 December 2011. The winner will be notified by mail and published in The Examiner public notices on Friday 23 December.
3. The prize is valid until 30/6/2012 excluding special event periods and subject to availability. The prize is to be redeemed in one visit and unused portions of the prize cannot be redeemed in cash. Sharp Airlines travel via Flinders Island only on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
4. If the winner chooses to travel prior to the opening of A Chorus Line (scheduled late February 2012), a theatre performance of similar value will be provided at The Examiner’s discretion.
5. A printed entry form will be published on page three (30 of Melbourne and Beyond magazine inserted into The Sunday Examiner on 27 November 2012. Copies or coupons downloaded from the on-line publication will not be accepted. Entrants must mail a fully completed original entry coupon to: Melbourne and Beyond Competition, C/- The Examiner, P. O. Box 1245, Launceston, Tasmania 7250.
6. Entry forms will also be active on The Examiner Website,
www.examiner.com.au under the community drop down menu from 27 November 2011 – 18 December 2011 inclusive. Entries may be submitted via the Promotions and Competitions link on the homepage. A form must be completed and correctly submitted online to be deemed valid. The Examiner takes no responsibility for entry forms not received. Forms submitted by email or printed and forwarded will not be accepted.
7. Prizes are not transferable for cash or other prizes. Prizes are redeemable to the drawn winner only and not transferable to another person. Winners will be notified by mail and arrangements made for receipt of prizes, unless otherwise specified. Winners’ names will also be published in Public Notices.
8. Entry into The Examiner Melbourne and Beyond Competition is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.
9. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 and over. Employees of the Promoter, related bodies corporate, associated agencies, sponsors, participating companies and their immediate families, are ineligible to enter.
10. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner/s to provide proof of age, identity and/or residency in order to claim a prize. Proof considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
11. Incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, corrupted or incomprehensible entries, whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise, will not be eligible to win a prize and will be disqualified. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry which in the opinion of the Promoter includes any content that may be unlawful, profane, inflammatory, defamatory and/or damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promoter.
