A Week With Hamilton
Our family spends a lot of time outdoors, especially in the summer months, so wearing sunscreen protection is imperative. Hamilton sunscreen is a familiar brand to me, and one which I often use for my family because of it’s high protection factor and sensitive skin range. There are a few interesting things I didn’t know about this brand. It began with an Australian. In 1928, Milton Blake, a young Adelaide chemist — armed with only a few saucepan’s, a set of old scales and a kerosene heater — developed one of the first ever UV sunscreens in the world. How fitting for sunny Australia to be the invention of such a product!
This week, I thought it would be interesting to focus on how much time we spend outside in the sun. This is what we have been up to:

As you can see, our family spends a lot of time outdoors. The flexibility of exploring the outdoors is really important to me, so it’s comforting to know I can protect my family’s skin while we do. Thanks for the contribution in the invention of UV sunscreen Hamilton Laboratories! It proves that one person can make a positive difference to many by following their passion.
Remembering the sunscreen
I have many bottles of sunscreen on hand, and keep them in different places so I’m not caught out somewhere without protection for the family. I keep sunscreen in the car, a small bottle in my handbag, in the house, and in the swimming bag. This way, I know I will always have it on hand when I need it.
