The competition is open to anyone in Australia who is a current member of the Alternative Technology Association or subscriber to ReNew or Sanctuary magazine. 1. ATA membership, ReNew and Sanctuary subscriptions can be undertaken online at
www.ata.org.au and
www.sanctuarymagazine.org.au, by Ph. (03) 9639 1500 or mailed to ATA, Level 1, 39 Little Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000 2. Paid ATA staff, members of the ATA Board, bankmecu staff, and members of their immediate families are ineligible to enter. 3. The competition is open to individuals only. Corporate entities, collectives and organisations are ineligible. 4. To be eligible you must be aged 18 years and over, an Australian resident, and a current member of the Alternative Technology Association or subscriber to ReNew or Sanctuary magazines. 5. The competition runs from 2 December 2011 to 1 June 2012. To be eligible, subscriptions/memberships must be received by 5pm EST on 1 June 2012. 6. The competition will be drawn at 11am EST on Wednesday 15 June 2012 at the Alternative Technology Association, Level 1, 39 Little Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000. 7. The winner will be contacted by phone and will be notified in writing. The winner’s name will be published in Sanctuary 20 in August 2012 and ReNew 121 in September 2012. 8. If within three months of notification the winner does not claim their prize the competition will be redrawn at 11am on 17th September 2012 at the Alternative Technology Association, Level 1, 39 Little Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000. 9. The redraw winner will be contacted by phone and will be notified in writing. The winner’s name will be published in Sanctuary 21 in November 2012 and ReNew 122 in December 2012. 10. The prize is a bankmecu $5,000 term deposit to help make your home more energy efficient. 11. The winner will be required to join bankmecu and open a term deposit account. 12. Once the account has been opened, the winner will be notified when the $5,000 has been credited to the account. 13. mecu Limited ABN 21 087 651 607 AFSL/Australian Credit Licence Number 238431 trading as bankmecu. Terms, conditions, fees and charges apply and are available on application, consider terms and conditions from bankmecu before deciding whether to apply. 14. If the winner is not already a bankmecu customer, fees and charges associated with joining bankmecu will be covered by the ATA. 15. The winner will submit to the ATA photos and details of the energy-efficient changes they made to their home as a consequence of winning this prize. This information may be published by the ATA and bankmecu in to help inspire others to make energy-efficient home improvements. 16. The ATA will issue a tax invoice to bankmecu for the subscriber prize of $5,000 (which will exclude GST as GST is not applicable). The invoice will include the winner’s name and mailing address. 17.
