Warming up for New Year’s Eve is the new New Year’s Eve. Right? Right? The Espy is pleased to announce Lyrics Born is heading down to Gershwin Room for a one off appearance whilst in town for the Pyramid Rock Festival over New Years.

The Japanese-born, American-raised rapper has come a long way since free-styling with classmates in California’s Bay Area in the early ‘90s. His latest creation, 2010’s As U Were, is yet another step forward for the MC, branching out to synthier textures and collaborating with a diverse range of artists.

Joining the party at The Espy are the ever charismatic Joelisitcs (fresh from a kick arse set at Meredith Music Festival), Low Budget, Mu-Gen & Ee’da.
