2012 TOOWOOMBA PLACES, FACES AND SPACES
PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION

Australian Events invites entries for the 2012 Toowoomba Places, Faces and Spaces photographic competition. The competition opens on 1st December 2011 with entries closing on Friday 30th March 2012. Accepted entries will be printed and mounted by Owen Camera House and placed on display at the 2012 Toowoomba Autumn Home Show and Health, Fitness and Wellbeing Expo, being held at the Toowoomba Showgrounds 20th to 22nd April 2012. Photographic awards will be announced and presented on Friday 20th April 2012 at 3pm at the exhibition. All photographers entering the competition are invited to attend the award presentation.
Images must meet the theme of Places, Faces and Spaces. All images must be from within the Toowoomba Regional Council area and have been taken between 1st December 2011 and 30th March 2012. Maximum 3 entries per person.
HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITION:
Email your competition entries to
photocomp@australianevents.com.au (no larger than 6mb per image), or hand deliver a digital copy of your entry (no restriction on image size) to the Australian Events office, 44 Duhig Street Toowoomba Qld 4350, or post to PO Box 307 Drayton North Qld 4350. All entries must be accompanied by a completed entry form, and $15 entry fee per image. The entry fee covers the cost of printing your image, mounting onto foam core, and handling.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
(1) All entries must fall under the theme of Toowoomba Places, Faces and Spaces, and have been taken within the Toowoomba Regional Council area between the dates of 1st December 2011 and 30th March 2012.
(2) A maximum of 3 entries per participant will be accepted.
(3) All entries to be delivered to Australian Events no later than the 30th March 2012 and supplied in .jpg format.
(4) Emailed images must be no larger than 6mb per image. Please send multiple entries via separate emails.
(5) All entries must be accompanied by a completed entry form, including details of any digital alterations, and $15 entry fee per image (entry fee includes printing and mounting).
(6) Juniors (17 years of age or under at 22nd April 2012) must have parent or guardian permission to enter the competition.
(7) Copyright for images remains with the photographer. The person providing the material and signing the entry form must have copyright ownership of all material.
(
Images that require the permission of third parties for commercial reproduction must be accompanied by a copy of the signed agreement.
(9) The copyright owner of accepted entries will permit Australian Events to reproduce the images for promotional and marketing purposes, including but not limited to newspaper advertisements and editorials, online advertisements and promotions, flyers and more.
(10) Australian Events reserves the right to refuse or cancel inclusion of any entry without notice.
(11) Australian Events may limit the total number of entries that will be put on display in the Competition Exhibition.
(12) Employees of Australian Events, Murrays Art and Framing, Owen Camera House, competition judges and immediate family members of competition judges are not eligible to enter.
(13) Final judging and awarding of prizes will take place on Friday 20th April 2012. The judge’s decisions will be final; no correspondence will be entered into.
