Boardwalk Empire is the baby of Terrence Winter (The Sopranos) and Martin Scorsese (Gangs Of New York, among too many others to list). It’s another one of HBO’s mega-series, this time a lush recreation of Prohibition era Atlantic City starring Steve Buscemi as Enoch “Nucky” Johnson, a real-life politician whose racketeering and bootlegging was legendary.
