For indie pop that swings between the rocky end of the pool where Metric like to splash around and the ethereal end where they prefer to play, you can’t go past Alpine. Formerly called The Swiss, the Melbourne band are fronted by a tag-team of breathy vocalists whose voices wash playfully over the top of a solid drums and guitars backing.
