This is a premier event held each year around Australia Day, with the major prize in “last man standing” being a new car with extended warranty and twelve months servicing. The last man standing is done on a draw of anglers numbers throughout the competition and every angler has an equal chance of winning, regardless of how they go on the fishing side.
Briefing night is at the Moreton Bay Boat Club at 7:00 pm on the 25th January, with fishing on the 26th,27th and 28th and presentation and draw at the Sunday breakfast on the 29th.
It is a QGFA sanctioned tournament and encourages tag and release for Billfish.
