1. Information on how to enter the competition
forms part of the competition conditions.
2. Entry into the competition is deemed an
acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3. The Promoter of this event is Su nshine FM
4. To be eligible to enter this competition, an
entrant must:
(a) not be an employee or contractor of the
Promoter or an immediate family member
of an employee or contractor
of the Promoter;
(b) be an amateur performer (no
professionals please);
(c) be a Sunshine Coast Co uncil resident or
rate pay er.
(d) be aged 55 years and over;
(e) c m their availability for the nal; and
(f) complete the entry form and mail it to

5. Entrants may be:
(a) a solo performer
(b) a duo/trio; or
(c) a group.
6. The competition consists of:
(a) heats
(b) a grand !nal
7. Entrants consent to:
(a) being photographed for the purpose of
the competition and the promotion of
the competition
(b) being lmed and recorded during the
Senior Superstar talent quest and the
subsequent recordings being edited and
telecast at the sole discretion of
the Promoter.
8. The Promoter owns all intellectual property
rights in the footage and broadcast of all
performances in the competition, and no fee
will be payable to the entrants.
9. Entrants must provide their own props,
instruments or backing music in the form of a
CD or sheet music for the piano accompanist
for their performance. Cassette tapes will not
be accepted.
10. Registration
(a) To register for the Sunshine Coast series of
Senior Superstar post an entry form to the
address below or contact Bec Stephens on
0401 743 047 or
bec@seniorsuperstar.com(b) Entrants will be noti!ed by mail of their
invitation to compete in one of the heats.
11. Heats
(a)
Coast during February 2012.
Heats will be held throughout the Sunshine
Where possible, successful entrants
will be allocated to perform in a club closest
to them.
(b) Entrants must report to the stage area at
the participating club no later than one
hour prior to the commencement of their
assigned heat.
(c) If an entrant does not report to the stage
area by the required time or is not ready
to perform at his/her allocated time, their
performance may be forfeited at the
Promoter’s discretion.
(d) Finalists

12. Grand Final

Promoter’s discretion) if they fail to
report to the stage area by the required
time or are unable to perform at the
allocated time.

be no longer than four minutes.
13. Judging
(a) Entrants will be judged on their ability,
presentation and audience appeal.

(b) Judging will be by suitably qual
judges in accordance with the criteria stated
above. The judges’ decision is nal and
no correspondence will be entered into.
14. Prizes
(a) The grand nal winner will receive the
Senior Superstar trophy. The total value of
this prize is up to $150.
(b) Any additional expenses incurred by the
prize winners, other than those outlined
in these terms and conditions, are the
responsibility of the winners.

Senior Superstar Competition
(c) Any additional expenses incurred by the
prizewinner in accepting the prize will be
the sole responsibility of the winner.
(d) Further prizes may be awarded at the
discretion of the Promoter.
(e) The Grand Final winner is ineligible
from entering future Senior Superstar
competitions.
15. The Promoter collects entrants’ personal
information in order to conduct the
competition. If the information requested
is not provided, the entrant may not
participate in the competition. By entering
the competition, unless otherwise advised,
each entrant also agrees that the Promoter
may use this information, in any media for
future promotional, marketing and publicity
purposes without any further reference,
payment of other compensation to the
entrant. Entrants’ personal information
will only be disclosed to associated sponsors
of the promotion for the purpose of
delivering prizes.
16. The Promoter reserves the right to modify
these terms and conditions at any time and
to cancel or amend the competition at any
time without notice or further recourse to
the entrants.
17. The Promoter accepts no responsibility
whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or
ineligible entries. The Promoter makes
no representations or warranties as to the
quality, suitability or merchantability of the
prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the
Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage
whatsoever which is su red (including, but
not limited to, direct or consequential loss)
or for any personal injury (including death)
su red or sustained in connection with
entry into the competition or acceptance of
the prizes. If entrants have any concerns over
their ability to perform in the competition
they should seek independent advice
(including medical). This paragraph is not
intended to exclude any liability, which
cannot be excluded under Australian
consumer protection laws. Any such
liability is limited to the resupply of the
applicable prize
