Portrait Prize - Queensland Festival of Photography
The Queensland Festival of Photography is asking Australian photographers to submit their best and most innovative photographic portraits.
Portraits from the top 50 photographers will be part of an online exhibition, while the top 20 will be exhibited in the Queensland Centre for Photography's Window Gallery during April 2012.
The judges of the competition talk about their favourite portraits in these videos.

HOW TO SUBMIT
To enter the Queensland Festival of Photography Portrait Prize you have to:
1. fill out the entry form
2. pay the entry fee
3. submit your application in one of the following three ways:

hand-deliver (Corner of Cordelia & Russell Streets, South Brisbane)
by Wednesday 29th February 2012.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Entrants must be residents of Australia, or Australian citizens.
2. Entrants should submit photographic portraits taken by them-selves and with the subjects permission.
3. A maximum of 100 words of accompanying text may be submitted outlining each portrait.
4. Entries must be submitted as low resolution jpeg files (max 2 MB), either on disc or emailed.
5. All image files must be labeled with the artist’s name (and number is more than one entry) (eg: FirstnameLastname1.jpeg).
6. There are no restrictions on the number of entries. Each entry attracts a fee of $10.
7. Entries must be received no later than Wednesday 29th February 2012. Work will not be accepted after this date.
8. The judges will meet to select work for exhibition (online and in QCP window gallery) and decide the winner of the Award, to be announced at the opening of the exhibition at QCP on 1 April 2012.
9. All entrants will be notified of the finalists via email by 16 March 2012.
10. The decision of the judges and QFP are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. Entry fees are non-refundable.
12. Entries will only be returned if a correctly stamped, self-addressed envelope is supplied. If not, they will be recycled.
13. Finalists for the QCP Window Gallery exhibition will be required to provide final prints (unframed and unmounted) to the QCP by 25 March 2012.
14. Staff and board members of QCP, and the judging panel are not permitted to enter.
15. All entries will be acknowledged via email by Friday 2 March 2012. If you have not received a confirmation email by this date please contact QFP as soon as possible.
