HOW TO ENTER
To be eligible to enter the “Vote for The Good Guys Home Chef Blogger” competition, entrants must be a fan of The Good Guys on Facebook and vote for their favourite The Good Guys Home Chef Blogger finalist.
Voting is open between 4pm AEDST Monday 5th March 2012 and 5pm AEDST Sunday 18th March 2012. (“Competition Period”).
One vote will gain one entry into the draw. Five random entries will be electronically drawn and will receive one of five The Good Guys and Jamie Oliver prize packs including a Breville Kitchen Wizz (BFP400) food processor, Jamie Oliver Pasta Maker and a $100 Coles Gift Card valued at $319.95 (“Prize”).

To be eligible to enter the “Vote for The Good Guys Home Chef Blogger” competition, entrants must ‘ Like’ The Good Guys page on Facebook and vote for their favourite Home Chef Blogger finalist by completing the Entry form. One vote gains one entry for their chance to win. The winners, as determined by the electronic draw, will be awarded the prizes.
Multiple Entries are not permitted, only one vote (entry) per person will be allowed. The Competition commences 4pm AEDST Monday 5th March 2012 and
finishes 5pm AEDST Sunday 18th March 2012. All entries must be received by 5pm AEDST Sunday on 18th March 2012 (“date”). Entries after this date will be deemed late and invalid.
The electronic draw will take place at 11am AEDST Monday 19th March 2012 (being the next working day after the competition closes) at Handling Matters Pty Ltd, 1/3 Green Street, Brookvale NSW 2100. The winners will be notified by email on the same day, and the winner will also be announced on The Good Guys Facebook page by first name and State only.
It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the entrant must comply with all the conditions of use of the Promoter’s requirements.
The Promoter reserves the right to request entrants to provide such proof of identity; age and proof of residency as considered suitable at the discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries not received by the Promoter or delays due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.
Employees of any The Good Guys stores (and their immediate families) and agencies associated with this Competition are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of any entry and of entrant (including an entrants identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the entrant will be deemed to be the person in who has submitted the entry provided that the person is an Australian resident over the age of 18 years. Prizes will only be awarded to the account holder of the nominated email address used to submit their entry. The winners therefore must be, in each case, the email account holder.
Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
Should an entrant’s contact details change during the Promotional Period, it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to the Promoter.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
If this Competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition, as appropriate.
If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the Entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, subject to any written direction given under State Regulation.
Any cost associated with accessing the Competition on the website is the Entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows a Entrant to automatically claim repeatedly is prohibited and will render all Entries submitted by that Entrant invalid
If any Prize (or part of any Prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the Prize (or that part of the Prize) with a Prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
Prizes, or any unused portion of a Prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
As a condition of accepting any Prize, the winner (and any companion, if applicable) must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Competition, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any Entry or Prize that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any tax liability incurred by a Entrant;
