Sensitive Information
We will not collect, use or reveal any sensitive information (such as anything to do with your racial or ethnic origins or any political or religious beliefs you might have), unless you give your specific permission or it is otherwise allowed under relevant privacy legislation.
Health Information
We may collect health information about you including details of your medical background or health related concerns when you use Ask Libragirl in the Short & Curlies section of the Site. However, in most cases this info will only be used so that we can reply to your particular question and not for any other purpose.
Otherwise, this information will be managed in accordance with this Privacy Policy, Privacy legislation and the Health Records Act Victoria where applicable.
Cancelling Your Membership
If you cancel your membership or your use of the Site is terminated in some other way, we may still use your information for future marketing, promotional or research purposes as outlined in this policy.

Each time you visit the Site, certain anonymous info (known as click-stream data) is collected by our servers. This includes the type of browser (eg. Internet Explorer or Netscape) and system you're using; the address of the Site you last visited and the one you move to after Libragirl; the date and time of your visit and your server's IP address.
All this stuff tells us how the Site is being used and navigated; including the number of hits, the frequency and duration of visits and does not personally identify you. Collecting this kind of info helps us to make the site better as we go along.
Our Site uses Cookies
A Cookie is a piece of information that our Site sends to your Browser (eg. Internet Explorer or Netscape), which is stored on your hard disk.
A Cookie helps us to recognise you when you re-visit our Site. Emails & The Newsletter From Libragirl
We'll only send emails to your external email address if you decide to receive the newsletter, or in response to an email you have sent us (for example in Ask Libragirl). These emails will be received in your mailbox in My Diar-e-Mail.

CompetitionsWhen we run competitions, if you choose to enter, you can find out how we will be using your information in the Terms & Conditions on the Site. If you ask to be sent period reminders in My Diar-e-Mail, any information you submit for this purpose may be used by us for general research only, and always on an anonymous basis. You will not be identified in any way, so don't worry.

This information will not identify you, or be used by Libragirl in any way.
E-Zine
The notices posted in this section will be monitored for offensive or inappropriate language, and may be reviewed to figure out which topics are popular and may be of interest to you for monthly editorials etc. Notices will not be used or kept for any other purpose.
Archiving Information
Notices posted, emails and diary entries will be archived from time to time and held by us for storage only.
You can email SCA Hygiene Australasia via 'Contact Us' to ask us to retrieve old emails, however Libragirl reserves the right to destroy them after a reasonable time. We can't keep everything forever!
Once we no longer need your information we will take all steps to make absolutely sure it is destroyed or de-identified.
3. Will My Personal Information Be Given To Anyone Else?
Libragirl will not give your personal information to anyone other than those who may be contracted to SCA Hygiene Australasia for Libragirl, including our website developers, who will also keep the information private and confidential and will manage the information according to the principles detailed here.
Anonymous navigation information may be disclosed for statistical analysis for marketing and to help tailor the Site to our members needs.
We may also give your information to a third party if:
we have already told you our intention when we collected the information from you;
you give us your specific permission to do so;
this is for a related purpose, and you would reasonably expect us to disclose the information for this purpose;
we are required or authorised by law to provide information to law enforcement authorities, government authorities or to other third parties, for law enforcement or investigation, for example where it arises that somebody has broken the law or in an emergency situation; or

Festival Mushroom Records
Festival Mushroom Records provides music and other material for the Sound Lounge. In the Sound Lounge, you may agree to give Festival Mushroom Records personal information to receive information from them. You'll need to read their privacy policy as we don't control how your information will be used. We may also share with Festival Mushroom Records some general statistics and stuff collected from the site (including monthly site traffic, membership base, Sound Lounge sessional traffic, most voted song, song most listened to, quick poll etc.), however none of this information will personally identify Libragirls.

4. How to Access, Correct and Update Your Information
We will take reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information we collect is accurate, complete, up to date and not in any way misleading. If you want to check out or change your personal information provided during registration, you can do this any time you want by going back into the Become a Libragirl section and changing your details and saving them again. Remember, you'll need your nickname and password to do this.

giving you access will seriously threaten a person's life or health or unreasonably affect somebody's privacy;
your request for access is silly or malicious; or

If we don't give you access to your personal information, we will give reasons for our decision (and in New Zealand only, information as to your right to review the decision).
If you think that your personal information is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date but SCA Hygiene Australasia does not agree with you, we will post a statement of your claim where that information is kept. We may in some cases charge you a reasonable fee for giving you access.
5. Children's Privacy
The safety of children is very important to us.
We ask that anybody under the age of 18 ask their parent or guardian to read the Parent's Information section of this Site before they become a Libragirl member.
If somebody under the age of 18 has provided us with personal information, a parent or guardian may Contact Us if they would like this information deleted from our records.
Whilst we will make every reasonable effort to protect children's privacy and other rights, it is ultimately the responsibility of parents to monitor their child's Internet usage.
6. Our Commitment to Security
Libragirl strives to protect your personal information.
Information provided during registration is kept in a secure server environment and you can only access it with your Libragirl nickname and password.
We do not take part in any buying, selling or trading on the Site. This means you cannot buy anything or sell anything on Libragirl.
We will take reasonable steps to make sure any personal information we have isn't lost or accessed without authority or destroyed, misused, modified or disclosed.
However, while Libragirl will do its best to protect your security, no information sent over the Internet can be 100% secure and we can't guarantee the security of any information you send to us or receive online.
Because of this, you should always keep your password, nickname and membership info secure as you alone are responsible for maintaining its secrecy. Please be careful and responsible whenever you're using the Internet and the Site and let us know about any security breach immediately. Please remember never to give out your real name, telephone number, email or home address or any other personal info to anyone on the Site, it's just safer that way.
Also, remember to always close your Browser when you're finished on the Site (this will log you out), so that nobody else can access your personal information and any correspondence. Be super-careful about this if you share a computer or are using a computer in a public place like a library or Internet café! You are responsible for the security of your own computer.

Thanks for visiting and we hope you have a great time here!
It's really important to us that your visit to the Site is as totally safe and enjoyable as we can make it and that when you use it you are fully aware of all your legal rights. That's why we've made up these Terms & Conditions ('Conditions') so that we can be sure that you understand how to use this Site properly and also be sure you are legally protected, so we want you to read them okay?
1. Your Acceptance Of Terms & Conditions
Please read all of these Conditions carefully before using the Site coz once you start using it you'll be agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Your Registration
Libragirl membership is limited to Australian and New Zealand residents only.
To Become a Libragirl you register by giving us your most current, up-to-date, complete and accurate information and you have to choose a nickname (account name) and password so that you can have exclusive access to all your cool personal bits. This stuff is known as your 'registration data'.
You agree to maintain and update this registration data when required so that it's as current, complete and accurate as possible and any information that you provide on the Site must be truthful, lawful, and must not violate the rights of others. So, no fibbing. Also, please remember; do not give out any of your personal details like your real name, address, email address, telephone number or any other personal details to other users. This'll help protect you from any nasties out there.
Libragirl always tries to make sure that information on the Site is correct but does not accept any liability for any error or omission.
3. Your Conduct
Okay, now this is the dead boring but important bit?if you get a bit stuck with what some of this means go ask your olds to help you out.
Services
You agree that you won't use the services on the Site ('Services') for any purposes that are unlawful or prohibited by these Conditions, and that you will use the Services only for non-commercial, personal purposes (this means you won't use the Site to try and sell stuff). You also agree to comply with all relevant laws and regulations and that you alone are responsible for all acts or omissions that occur under your account (nickname) or password, including the content of your messages on the Site.
Libragirl may keep an eye on your use of the Services and may review, keep and/or give out any information as necessary under any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request.
You agree that you won't use the Services to either directly or indirectly:
(i) Conduct surveys, contests, pyramid schemes, chain letters, junk email, spamming or any other unsolicited messages;
(ii) Defame, abuse, harass, stalk or threaten others; or publish or distribute any defamatory, obscene, offensive, indecent or unlawful material or information;
(iii) Advertise or offer to sell or buy any goods or services;
(iv) Collect information about others without their consent;
(v) Knowingly transmit or upload any material that contains viruses, worms, time bombs, or any other harmful computer programs, or that breach any intellectual property laws, rights of privacy or any other applicable laws;
(vi) Interfere with or disrupt networks connected to the Services or violate the regulations, policies or procedures of such networks.
(vii) Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other accounts, computer systems or networks connected to the service;
(viii) Interfere with another Libragirl's use and enjoyment of the Services.
4. Your Use Of The Site
Hide
In the My Diar-e-mail, In the Bag, E'Zine, and Curly Questions areas on the Site, there is a cool 'HIDE' button that lets you hide the screen at any time so that you can keep all your personal stuff private. Once the screen is hidden you just click on the 'SHOW' button to return to the screen you were looking at before.
Unregistered Users
Unregistered users will be able to access most of the areas within the Site, but interactive areas like U Tell It, My Diar-e-Mail, Sound Lounge, Create Your Own and Short & Curlies can't be fully accessed until unregistered users have Become a Libragirl (registered). So basically, if you want to do everything that's available on the Site, you've gotta be a registered Libragirl.
U Tell It
All notices posted in the U Tell It section will be screened by our moderator so don't use bad language or anything, okay!
Any notices containing dirty language or offensive stuff will be sent to quarantine and the moderator will either edit the notice, accept it and place it on the notice board, or reject it and put it in the trash.
If you want to delete a message you have posted you'll need to login and then use the 'DELETE' button in U Tell It. You can only delete your own messages, so don't go getting any sneaky ideas!
Create Your Own
In the Create Your Own section you can send your t-shirt or cartoon creation to any of your Libragirl buddies or to friends that aren't Libragirls. You can also print them but you can't save them. This is except for the wallpaper, which you can save to your computer desktop.
Sound Lounge
In the Sound Lounge, music from the player is only for you to listen to while you're surfing the Site and is not recordable. Once you leave the Site, you won't be able to play music from the Sound Lounge player in any other music programs you might have.
Festival Mushroom Records provides music and other material for the Sound Lounge and also gives Libragirls the opportunity to receive information directly from them. This is covered in more detail in the Privacy Policy below.
My Diar-e-Mail
Once you have the maximum of 50 messages in your My Diar-e-mail mailbox you won't be able to send any more mail until you free up some space by trashing some of your old messages. So remember to keep checking back and clearing out those old messages, so that you'll always have plenty of space.
Libragirl may at its discretion delete My Diar-e-mail messages when you exceed the storage limits, so it's a good idea for you to do it first. That way you can choose which ones you want to keep and which ones you want to trash.
5. Modifying the Services
Libragirl may modify, suspend or discontinue the Services available on the Site from time to time in its absolute discretion.
6. Copyright and Trade Marks
All material and content on the Libragirl Site is the copyright of SCA HA.
Brands, logos, images and tag-lines are registered or unregistered trademarks owned or used under license by SCA HA.
You can copy material for personal use but you must not republish, copy, reproduce, transmit, distribute or use any part of the Site in any other way, or modify any material on the Site, without the permission of SCA HA

You can cancel your Libragirl membership any time you want to by emailing us at

We may also terminate or suspend your account if you haven't been to the Site for a period of one year. Upon termination your right to use the Service immediately ceases and Libragirl does not have to forward any emails to you or any other person.
