Following an emotional season three finale, Packed to the Rafters Season 4 follows the Rafters as they attempt to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of Melissa's (Zoe Ventoura) death.
Part 1 of Season 4 saw the Rafter family return home from a restorative road trip, allowing Ben (Hugh Sheridan), to take his first steps forward in the wake of his traumatic loss. A blossoming friendship with the promise of something more intimate evolves between Ben and his new boss's daughter, Emma (Zoe Cramond), whilst Julie (Rebecca Gibney) and Dave (Erik Thomson) are forced to deal with the consequences of a dangerous accusation made on Jake (James Stewart) during a rugby weekend away.
Part 2 joins Julie and Dave as they wrestle with the sudden arrival of unexpected family members, whilst pushing to grow the family business. Carbo (George Houvardas) and Retta (Hannah Marshall) are faced with a tough predicament when they choose to elope rather than face the extravagance of a Karadonis wedding. Meanwhile, Nathan (Angus LcLaren) debates whether to follow the example of his globe-trotting sister and Ted (Michael Caton) decides to mentor a troubled young boy.
