Get set to study at VU and win
Thinking about doing your apprenticeship at Victoria University? We have five x $1,000 cash prizes for apprentices who commence their course in 2012.
You can win $1000 by finishing the following sentence:
•"Victoria University is the best place to start my apprenticeship because..."
The most creative response wins!
All answers must be 25 words or less. The competition is open to new students who are enrolling between 13 February and 28 March 2012 into an Apprentice or Traineeship course (not including Pre-Apprenticeships) at Victoria University.
The competition will run from 9am, 13 February 2012 and close at 5pm, 28 March 2012.
Winners will be notified by 30 March 2012.
Terms and conditions
By entering this competition, registrants are deemed to have accepted all terms and conditions listed hereafter: 1. Entry is free.
2. Your statement completing "Victoria University is the best place to start my apprenticeship because..." is not confidential. Victoria University can reproduce this, and publish it either in print and electronically with or without attribution.
3. In accordance with the Victorian Information Privacy Act 2000 and the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1998, the personal information collected in this survey will only be used by Victoria University (VU). This information will not be shared with or released to any third parties in reflection with VU's Privacy Policy.
4. The Victoria University ‘Apprentices - Get set to study’ competition is open to anyone beginning a full time Apprenticeship in 2012 at Victoria University. Enrolees in Traineeships are not eligible. Proof of enrolment in a qualifying Apprenticeship at Victoria University will be required to claim the prize.
5. The competition is open from 9am 13 February 2012 to 5pm 28 March 2012. Winners will be notified by email and phone by 30 March 2012.
6. One entry per person.
7. Prizes will be awarded to the most creative response to "Victoria University is the best place to start my apprenticeship because..."
8. The prizes are non-transferrable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
9. The winners will be notified by phone and email, so please ensure you provide the correct contact details. Any entry containing incorrect contact details will be deemed invalid.
10. Winners will have 48 hours to notify Victoria University of their acceptance of the prize, otherwise the entry will be disqualified from winning and the prize will be redrawn.
11. The prize will have to be collected by each winner from Victoria University Footscray Park campus no later than 4pm 13 April 2012. All transportation costs are the winners’ responsibility. Victoria University will provide contact details to facilitate collection arrangements. All prizes not claimed by 13 April 2012 will not be awarded.
12. Copyright in all entries rests with Victoria University. Victoria University can reproduce, publish and post entries on the web, with or without any attribution of authorship.
13. Any tax liability arising as a result of accepting the prize is the responsibility of the winners.
14. Any loss or damage to the prize items sustained after you have taken receipt of the prize is your sole responsibility.
15. Victoria University’s decision on the competition’s winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
16. Victoria University may change these terms and conditions without notice.
