$1500 Pay your Bills Competition
Terms and Conditions
Information on how to enter and the prize form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.
Entry is open to all residents of Australia aged 18 years and over who fulfil the entry requirements.
The following persons are ineligible to enter:
employees of; or contractors to, the Promoter or any of its related bodies corporate; and
the spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), of such employees and contractors (whether or not they live in the same household).
All contestants acknowledge that even in the Promoter only learns of a person’s ineligibility after the Promoter has appeared to award the prize to the ineligible person, it may require the return of the prize or payment of its value to the Promoter to be dealt with as an unclaimed prize.
Competition commences Saturday 14 April 2012 and closes 5.00pm Wednesday 16 May 2012 (“Promotion Period”). Entries received after closure of the Promotion Period will not be eligible.
To enter, participants must enter through the in-paper entry form which will be published on 14 April, 21 April, 28 April and 5 May. Coupons are printed Monday to Friday from 16 April to 11 May 2012.
A valid entry includes the entry form and 5 coupons from that week attached to the entry form. Coupons are published each day Monday to Friday, commencing 16 April and finishing 11 May 2012.
Contestants may submit more than one entry but the entry form and coupons must be original newsprint – no photocopies, scanned images, web prints, reproductions or other falsified artwork will be accepted.
The prize value is up to $1500 for the winner to pay household bills. The competition winner will be required to show account(s) which they have received during the period 1/1/12 to 11/5/12 and the Chronicle will reimburse the prize winner up to a maximum of $1500.00 for the payment of these accounts. Reimbursement will be in the form of a cheque from APN News and Media made payable to the prize winner.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. Prizes or any unused portion of a prize are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
The prize winner will be selected by random draw. The draw will take place at or just after 12.00pm Thursday 17 May 2012 at the Promoter’s office, Shop 2A, 7 Central Ave, Pialba 4655. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. If a winner is unable to be contacted or respond within one month of the draw, the prize draw will be deemed unclaimed and a redraw will be made.
The prize winner will be announced in the Fraser Coast Chronicle Public Notices on Monday 21 May 2012, and notified by phone.
Prize must be taken as offered and cannot be exchanged, transferred or redeemed for cash.
All prize winners acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to publicise and publish his/her name, character and likeness. All prize winners must avail themselves for a photo if required by the Promoter and acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to utilise publicity photos in any reasonable manner it sees fit without compensation to the prize winner.
Upon request by the Promoter a copy of these conditions of entry and/or a signed receipt and acknowledgement must be signed and endorsed by any winner to indicate his/her understanding and acceptance of these terms.
If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned including (but not limited to) technical failures, unauthorised intervention
By entering this competition you agree to allow the Promoter and its partners in this promotion to contact you for any future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
The Promoter collects your personal information to include you in this competition and will disclose the information to others who help us run the competition. We may also use the information to assist us in improving our goods and services and to contact you in the future in regard to our other goods and services. We may share your information with other persons or entities that assist us in performing the above or with another company which provides prizes for the competition.
