Terms and Conditions
By entering this promotion you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid:
STANDARD TERMS
Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
WHO CAN ENTER?
Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to all residents of Australia & New Zealand over eighteen years of age.
Employees and their immediate families of the promoter, Newell Australia Pty Ltd ABN 68 075 071 233 of 500 Princes Highway Noble Park VIC Australia 3174 and their associated agencies and companies, and related bodies corporate are not eligible to enter.
HOW TO ENTER
The competition commences on 7th May 2012 at 9:00 AM (AEST) and
concludes on 28th May 2012 at 23:59 (AEST). There will be 15 $200 AUD supermarket vouchers, therefore a total of $3000 AUD prize pool. If the winner is from NZ, the exchange rate will be taken in consideration and the voucher will be the equivalent NZD to $200 AUD based on that day's exchange rate as determined by the promoter. Entrants must enter first and last name, email address, phone and delivery address. This is a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining the winners. Winners will be picked weekly; five (5) per week and a total of fifteen (15). The 5 best judged entries per week will be judged by a panel of experts at Newell Australia Pty Ltd of 500 Princes Highway Noble Park VIC Australia 3174. . The judging will take place one week after competition commencement: a.Week 1: starts 07.05.12, ends 13.05.12 b.Week 2: starts 14.05.12, ends 20.05.12 c.Week 3: starts 21.05.12, ends 28.05.12 Any entry not including a completed form answering all of the above questions and a choice of preferred prize shall be deemed invalid.
The best and most creative entries, as judged by the Promoter, will win.
All entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the promotional database and not at the time of transmission by the entrant. No responsibility accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
Cost associated with accessing the promotion is the entrant's responsibility and is dependent on their internet service provider used. Entrants (including winners) in the competition may enter only once, however, the use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid. Prize cannot be transferred and cannot be redeemed for cash.
In accepting the prize, the Winner agrees to participate in and co-operate with all reasonable media editorial requests, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed.
Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing (inclusive of GST). The Promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.
The Winner will be notified by email or phone within 4 business days advising them of their prize.. If the Promoter is unable to contact a prize winner after taking reasonable steps to do so the prize will be forfeited.
The Promoter's decision is final and the promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the Competition result.
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the Winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier's requirements.
It is a condition of accepting the prize that the Winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion.
The Promoter collects personal information about you to enable you to participate in this promotion but no further use of this information will be made. To facilitate your participation, the Promoter may disclose your personal information to other companies associated with this promotion. Entrants have the right to access, update or request correction of their personal information. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter at the address above. If you do not provide your personal information, your entry will be invalid.
NO LIABILITY
In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter's ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to any written directions given under Australian and NZ laws.
The Promoter and their associated agencies and companies, and related bodies corporate assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries, and reserve the right to take any action that may be available.
If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to any written direction given under Australian and NZ laws.
The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of participating in this promotion or accepting any of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude restrict or modify an entrants rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, (including but not limited to) any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading or uploading any materials in this competition.
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook. Entrants are providing their information to the Promoter and not to Facebook. Each entrant completely releases Facebook from any and all liability.
