Joymas Creative’s popular HUM cabaret series returns with Australia’s newest leading lady Lucy Maunder (Dr Zhivago) performing the hits and hidden gems of one of America’s greatest songwriters, Irving Berlin.

Most widely known for creating classic Broadway and Hollywood favourites Puttin on the Ritz, White Christmas, and There’s No Business Like Showbusiness, Berlin’s prolific career began when he sparked an international dance craze with Alexander’s Ragtime Band and overnight, the world became his oyster.

Featuring a dazzling selection of popular songs including Blue Skies and What’ll I Do, as well as unearthing some of his incredible back catalogue, with the stunning Lucy Maunder as your guide, Irving Berlin – Songs in the Key of Black will transport you to the shadowy alleys and darkest dive saloons of Old New York City for an evening of decadence, danger and delight.
