The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis is the eighth production by Child Players ACT’s children’s theatre group Child Play. The play, dramatised by Joseph Robinette, will be presented in the July 2012 school holidays.
Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie are spending their school holidays in the country. However, when a game of hide and seek reveals an antique wardrobe to be a portal into the magical world of Narnia, the children find that they are linked to an ancient prophesy and they may be the only hope to free Narnia from the reign of the evil White Witch.
During their adventures they encounter Aslan the Mighty Lion, Tumnus the Fawn, Mr and Mrs Beaver and many other mythical creatures that help them defeat the White Witch and take their places as the rightful Kings and Queens of Narnia.
About the theater group: Child Play is a unique theatre-training program created by BJ Anyos, the Artistic Director of Child Players ACT. The program has been running for eight years and provides 40 children aged between 10 and 16 the opportunity to learn all aspects of theatre, both on-stage and back-stage.
The play suits 6yrs+ and runs for approximately 1 hour 45 minutes with an interval.

Sessions: Thursday 12 July, Friday 13 July and Saturday 14 July 2012 at 10.30am & 2pm;
Tuesday 17 July at 10.30am;
Wednesday 18 July, Thursday 19 July, Friday 20 July and Saturday 21 July at 10.30am & 2pm
