2. Entry is only open to residents of NSW, VIC, SA, WA, QLD and ACT. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
3. Entrants under 18 years old must have parental/guardian approval to enter and further, the parent/guardian of the entrant must read and consent to all terms and conditions. Parents/guardians may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to this Promotion.
4. The “Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D” online promotion commences on Tuesday 26/06/12 and closes noon AEST on Thursday 28/06/2012 (“Promotional Period”).
5. One (1) winner will be selected from combined entries from both Hoyts Insider and Hoyts Rewards clubs and will be notified by 2pm on Thursday 28th June 2012, via phone and followed by in writing; via email. If the winner does not respond to contact made by Thursday 28th June 2012, by 5pm the prize will be forfeited and redrawn to the next available winner. No replacement prize will be given.
6. The winner must be available to be in Sydney on Friday June 29th to meet Katy Perry on Friday evening between 6pm and 7pm. The meet and greet is subject to talent schedule and subject to change.
7. To enter, entrants must be a member of either the Hoyts Insider or Hoyts Rewards and visit
www.hoyts.com.au during the promotional period to purchase a ticket to "Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D" and complete their online entry by answering in 25 words or less: “What would you ask Katy Perry if you met her, and why?". Non-members can sign up to either the Hoyts Insider or Hoyts Rewards during the promotional period and complete the same entry process as outlined above.
8. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
9. Incomplete or indecipherable entries will be deemed invalid.
10. One entry per member and per ticket purchased at
www.hoyts.com.au to "Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D" are permitted subject to the following: (a) only one (1) entry permitted per member; (b) entry must be submitted by answering the promotional question in 25 words or less; and (c) entry must be submitted in accordance with entry requirements.
11. This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit. All entries must be the original independent creation of the entrant and free of any claims that they infringe any third party rights. Entries must not have been published previously and/or have been used to win prizes in other competitions. The best valid answer from combined entries from both Hoyts Insider and Hoyts Rewards Members will be judged by the Hoyts Corporation as the best/most creative entry and will win the major prize. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which, in the opinion of the judges, includes objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting, scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language.
13. One (1) Major Prize:
• Meet and Greet with Katy Perry – Money can’t buy (taking place on Friday evening June 29th between 6pm and 7pm)
• Flights for two (2) to Sydney RRP $1,700 (If winner and accompanying companion is from outside Sydney)
• Two (2) night’s stay at a hotel in Sydney including breakfast (4*) RRP $560
• Private VIP makeover in hotel room with ‘stylist to the stars’ (4 hours – 2 people hair and make-up consultation session) $880 (taking place on Friday before the meet and greet with Katy Perry)
• Lunch at a Sydney restaurant RRP $200 (taking place on Saturday 30th June)
• Airport transfers in private cars $250
• BONUS: IF winner is a Hoyts Rewards Member they will receive $500 spending money
• Prize currently valued up to $3,590.00 (not including Meet and Greet with Katy and Hoyts Rewards bonus)
Prize terms and conditions:
• Credit card may be required on hotel check in for incidentals
• Talent access is subject to change
• If the winner is under 18 they must be accompanied by an adult
• If the winner is unable to take this trip no alternative prize will be rewarded
• All elements of the prize are subject to availability at the time of booking
14. The Promoter, prize provider and activity operators, in their absolute discretion, at all times reserve the right to: (a) prevent any winner and/or their companion from participating in the Activity if, at any time, they reasonably believe that they pose a safety risk or for any other reason; and/or (b) cancel the Activity if the conditions are deemed dangerous. (c) vary and/or substitute the prize (or part thereof) without notice with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a State and/or Territory regulatory authority.
15. As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner and companion must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or Prize Providers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
16. The winner and companions must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. Once flights have been confirmed by the Prize Provider/s changes are not permittable. Cancellations to the booking may be subject to fees payable by the winner. The itinerary is to be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. The Prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. If the winner is under the age of 18 years at the time of the prize draw they must travel with a parent or approved guardian.
17. All other expenses, including additional spending money, meals, travel to and from departure points, transfers (unless otherwise stated), travel insurance and all other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner. Incidental charges charged to the winner’s room, such as meals, mini bar, laundry room services, telephone calls etc., are at the expense of the winner. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner’s at check-in to the hotel. Unless expressly stated all other expenses become the responsibility of the winner.
18. In the event that any prize item is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right, subject to the approval of any relevant trade lottery authority, to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value.
19. Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
20. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
21. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
22. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize.
23. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and as required, to regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this information. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
