By entering this Event you (the "Entrant") agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Any information or instructions included on the Samsung Facebook Fan Page (
http://www.facebook.com/samsungnx) ("Fan Page") and NX Smart Photo Messenger mobile webpage (
www.smartphotomessenger.com)("Mobile Page") form part of these terms and conditions. This Event is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. The information you provide will only be used for the purposes of operating the Event and will not be passed to Facebook. You are providing your information to Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd ("Samsung"), and not to Facebook.
A. Event Period
Phase 1. Word Submission: The Event period is from 07:00:00 (GMT) on 14/06/2012 until 07:00:00 (GMT) on 05/07/2012 ("Phase 1 Event Period").Phase 2. NX Smart Photo Messenger: The Event period is from 07:00:00 (GMT) on 11/07/2012 until 07:00:00 (GMT) on 17/08/2012 ("Phase 2 Event Period").B. Eligibility
1. The Event is open to anyone with a Facebook account at the time of entry. This Event shall be void where restricted or prohibited by law.
2. The following individuals are not eligible to enter this Event: employees, contractors, directors or officers of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and each of its respective parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies (collectively the "Samsung Parties"); employees, contractors, directors or officers of any web design, advertising, fulfillment, insurance agencies of any Samsung Parties; employees, contractors, directors or officers of any agencies involved in the administration, development, fulfillment and execution of this Event; and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and spouse or "step-relative" of each) and those living in the same households of each such employee, contractor, director or officer.
3. No purchase is necessary to enter or win this Event.
C. How to Enter
Phase 1: 14/06/2012 - 05/07/2012
1. There is no charge for entering this Event. You must have access to the Internet as the Event can only be entered online.
2. To enter this Event, during the Event Period go to Fan Page and select the NX Smart Photo Messenger (https://www.facebook.com/samsungnx/app_427201793966581) and NX Smart Photo Messenger Mobile Page (www.smartphotomessenger.com) ("Event Pages").
3. Submit words of three (3) word categories of which you want to be translated into photos by photographers. (Only one (1) word can be submitted for each entry.)

2. 3 photographers will upload a total of 300 photos ("Photos") taken by NX20/1000 will be displayed in the Event Pages.
3. Choose Photos which you want to make into a photo message of and share it to your personal timeline/wall or your Facebook friends for response. (Minimum of 2 Photos to maximum 4 photos can be used to create a message.)
D. How to win
Phase 1: 14/06/2012 - 05/07/2012
1. Two (2) winners will be selected randomly by photographers and the jury during the Phase 1 Event Period.Phase 2: 11/07/2012 – 17/08/2012
Weekly Winner
1. Maximum two (2) couples (four (4) winners) per week will be randomly selected from all users who come under qualification below:- Both parties are Facebook friends to each other
- Both parties who sent photo messages as a response to one another during the five (5) weeks of Phase 2 Event Period.
Special Winner
1. One (1) winner of the highest activities (Photo Share, Message Share, Event Share) among all users during the Phase 2 Event Period will be selected as a special.
E. The Prize
Phase 1: 14/06/2012 - 05/07/2012
1. One (1) NX1000 will be given to each winner. (Total two (2) winners throughout the Phase 1 Event Period)Phase 2: 11/07/2012 – 17/08/2012
Weekly Winner
1. One (1) NX1000 will be given to each weekly winner. (Total twenty (20) winners throughout the Phase 2 Event Period)
Special Winner
1. One (1) NX20 and two (2) NX lenses will be given to a winner. (Total one (1) winner throughout the Phase 2 Event Period)
* Prizes will be awarded "AS IS" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied offered by Samsung. Nothing contained herein should be construed as an endorsement by Samsung of any prize suppliers or other third party, product, or service.
** No cash or other substitution, assignment or transfer of any prizes permitted, except by Samsung, who reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize component with cash or another prize of comparable or greater value.
F. Notification of Winners
1. The winners will be announced in the Event Page. - Phase 1 winner will be announced on 11/07/2012 - Phase 2 winners will be announced on: *Weekly Winner: 19/07, 02/08, 09/08, 16/08/2012 *Special Winner: 17/08/2012
2. As soon as winners are announced, a contact info pop-up window will be displayed to the winners in the Event page. Users must fill in contact information (notifying their name, email address, phone number, and postal address) into the window so that Samsung can send final email notifications.
3. The winners will have 10 days from the date the email notification is sent to them to claim their prize by sending a reply (finally confirming contact their information) via email to the email address from which the notification email from Samsung was received.
4. In the event that a winner is unreachable, ineligible, or fails to claim the prize in the time required, the winner shall forfeit their prize.
G. Publicity
Except where prohibited, participation in the Event constitutes winner's consent to Samsung's use of winner's name, prize information, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, biographical information, hometown, and state for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration.
H. Privacy and Data Protection
1. Other than as set out in these terms and conditions or for the purposes of operating the Event, the details and information provided by you when entering the Event or claiming a prize will not be used for any purpose other than to notify winners and for prize fulfillment purposes in connection with the Event Promotion, nor shall they be passed to any third party.
2. Participants' personal information will be kept strictly confidential.
I. General Conditions
1. Samsung reserves the right to alter, amend, foreclose or withdraw the Event or the terms and conditions of entry at its sole discretion at any time and without prior notice.
2. By entering this Event, you agree to these Terms & Conditions which are final and binding in all respects related to the Event.
3. Samsung reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any participants deemed to be (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Event or any website of Samsung’s partners; (b) violating these Terms and Conditions; (c) acting with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
4. Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Event is a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Samsung reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Samsung's failure to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
5. Participation in receipt of benefits from the Event may have tax consequences. Should there be any tax liability for participation in the competition or the receipt of a prize, or costs or expenses relating to participation in the competition or for any other reasons, such taxes and/or expenses are the sole responsibility of the participant.
6. This Event is governed by the law of the Republic of Korea. All disputes, controversies or claims between the parties arising out of or in connection with this Event shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of Seoul Central District Court of Korea.
7. If you were selected as one of the winners, you are not allowed to use Fan Page wall to post messages to promote and re-sell any of the prizes. By doing so, you will be banned from any future Events held by Fan Page.
