Art gallery Giveaway
History and art buffs have the chance to win tickets to the Art Gallery of South Australia’s exhibitions of our state’s colonial art works and catalogues for both shows.
South Australia Illustrated: colonial painting in the Land of Promise is a survey of painting in SA from colonisation in 1836 to Federation in 1901. The exhibition ends on August 5.
A second exhibition Bounty: Nineteenth-century South Australian gold and silver examines colonial society through the works of SA’s gold and silversmiths.
Adelaide Matters is giving away one copy of South
Australia Illustrated: colonial painting in the Land of Promise catalogue and one copy of Bounty: Nineteenth-century South Australian gold and silver catalogue, plus two tickets to see both exhibitions.

The wine giveaway closes on Tuesday, August 7, at 5pm. Winners will be randomly generated at Messenger Newspapers, 31 Waymouth St, Adelaide. All winners will be contacted by phone and published in Adelaide Matters issue 149, distributed Wednesday, July 25.
