1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry
2. Who Can Enter?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2 entry is open only to all residents of Queensland. Entrants must able to show upon request proof of residency e.g. Drivers Licence.
2.2 Employees and immediate families of Marine Queensland, Nugget Outdoors and Honda Australia and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step grandparent, uncle, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
3. How to Enter
3.1 To enter the competition, entrants must attend the 2012 Brisbane Boat Show, 23 – 26 August at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Cnr Merivale & Glenelg Streets, South Bank, Brisbane. Attend means purchasing a ticket to enter the 2012 Brisbane Boat Show. Complete an original entry coupon (only original coupons from the Nugget Website,
www.nuggetoutdoors.com.au, or Honda Stand at the Brisbane Boat Show will be accepted), including their full name, address, postcode, daytime phone, mobile and email address. Entrants must drop the completed coupon in the correct competition barrel located on the Honda Stand at the Brisbane Boat Show, between August 23-26, 2012 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Cnr Merivale and Glenelg Streets, South Bank, Brisbane. The Brisbane Boat Show is open during the following times: Thursday 23 August 10:00 to 20:00 | Friday 24 August 10:00 to 20:00 | Saturday 25 August 10:00 to 18:00 and Sunday 26 August 10:00 to 18:00.
3.2 To be eligible for the prize, entries must be received by 5:00pm on Sunday the 26th of August.
3.3 Entrants under the age of 18 years must obtain the prior permission of a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years before entering the competition.
4. Prize
4.1 There is one prize to be won.
4.2 One (1) prize winner will be drawn randomly from all correct entries received during the promotional period in accordance with clause 3. The Prize draw will take place at the following time: 5:30pm on Sunday the 26 August at the Honda Stand located in Hall 3. The prize winner will receive the corresponding prize as set out below:
1 x Honda Lawn Mower, HRU19K1 – Buffalo Buck
4.3 The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for anything other than that which is outlined above. In the event that the prize item is unavailable; the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value. Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of the winners. The prize is strictly as stated above. All other costs are the responsibility of the prize winner.
4.4 Each entrant who has entered the competition during the Competition Period and registered all details in accordance with clause 3 or clause 4 will be entered into the prize draw.
4.5 The winner will be announced by Dave Downie on his radio show Outback & Bay on 4BC Sunday 26 August between 6 & 8pm. The winners name may also appear on the Brisbane Boat Show and Nugget Outdoors website nuggetoutdoors.com.au (subject to the web-editor’s decision). The prize winner will be notified by phone or mail, with a prize letter within seven days of the draw.
4.6 The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
4.7 If the major prize winner does not claim their prize within three (3) months of the draw, a re-draw will take place at Marine Queensland, 6 Overend St, East Brisbane QLD 4169 on Monday 19 November 2012 at 2:00pm.
4.8 By completing the entry form and entering the competition, the entrant consents to the storage of their personal information on the Marine Queensland, Nugget Outdoors and Honda Australia databases and these companies may use this information at any time in the future for promotional and marketing purposes regarding their respective products or services including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging. To not have personal information stored by the above companies, entrants must mark the "opt-out" box on the entry coupon.
5. NO LIABILITY
5.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to State Legislation.
5.2 Marine Queensland, Nugget Outdoors, Honda Australia and their associated agencies, members and companies will take no responsibility for the prize if damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
5.3 Marine Queensland, Nugget Outdoors, Honda Australia and their associated agencies, members and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss (including but not limited to consequential loss) or claim that may occur:
5.3.1 during the draw;
5.3.2 whilst undertaking any travel won on or connected with their entry into the draw; or
5.3.3 in the participation in the prize;
5.3.4 as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
5.3.5 due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person;
5.3.7 arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or mobile communications network related to or resulting from participation in this promotion;
5.3.8 due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.
5.4 Marine Queensland, Nugget Outdoors, Honda Australia and its affiliates assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
5.5 If, for any reason, this competition is not capable of being conducted as planned, including, but not limited, due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to State Legislation.
