"Shop Local with Club Sapphire" Retail Promotion
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The promotion name is "Shop Local with Club Sapphire". The promotion is authorised under NSW Permit No. LTPS/12/06169
2. The Promoter is Merimbula Imlay Bowling Club Ltd, Trading as Club Sapphire Merimbula ABN 89 001 064 008.
3. The promotion is only open to current financial Bowling, Life, Social and Provisional members of Club Sapphire Merimbula (the Club). However, the promotion is not open to any member whilst their membership is suspended.
PROMOTION PERIOD
The promotion period commences on and from 9:30 am Friday 17 August 2012 and concludes with the last Weekly Draw on 6.00pm Friday 26 October 2012.
PROMOTION ENTRY ENTITLEMENTS
A member is entitled to enter the promotion by:
• Swiping their membership card in the Reward Kiosk between 9.30am and 11.59pm every trading day during the course of the Promotion. A member will able to swipe once per day on these days.
• Spending $5, with the exclusion of selected products, at any beverage and food outlet at Club Sapphire. The member will be required to write their name on the ticket dispensed.
• All tickets will be placed in the Draw barrel located at the Ezy Lounge.
PRIZES
• A total of 20 x $500 Shopping booklets can be won over ten weeks - two draws per week. Total retail value $10,000.
• The Shopping vouchers can be spent at local businesses that choose to participate in the "Shop Local with Club Sapphire" Retail Promotion.
• Shopping vouchers can not be redeemed for cash or change given.
• Shopping vouchers must be redeemed by 31 December 2012.
WEEKLY DRAW ENTRY AND PROCEDURES
1. There will be two weekly Draw Pools, commencing on Friday 24 August 2012 and continuing each Friday until the final Draw on Friday 26 October 2012.
2. For each Weekly Draw, on the day of the Draw commencing at approximately 6.00pm, a maximum of 5 tickets will be drawn from the Draw barrel one by one until the prize is claimed. This first draw will be known as "Pool A". As each member name is drawn it will be announced via the Club's PA system.
3. The announced member must present themselves at the designated promotion stand within the Club premises within four minutes of their name being called to claim the 25 x $20 shopping voucher booklet in Pool A Draw, otherwise the announced member is not entitled to the prize. In that case a redraw will take place. This process will be repeated until the announced holder of the drawn ticket have duly presented themselves and been acknowledged as the claimant. Once the prize has been claimed, no further draws in Pool A will take place. If the prize remains unclaimed after 5 draws, it will jackpot to the following Friday Pool A with two x 25 x $20 shopping voucher booklets being the jackpot prize. The Jackpot prize will continue from week to week until claimed.
4. The second 5 ticket draw, known as "Pool B", will then be conducted in the same format as outlined in (4) and (5) immediately following the first Weekly Draw.
5. Only one member present can win a maximum of one prize per week, ie the winner of Prize Pool A does not qualify to participate in Prize Pool B.
6. At the completion of the Weekly Draw, entry tickets remaining the Draw barrel will be destroyed and new entry tickets for the following Weekly Draw can be placed in the Draw barrel.
7. The Weekly Draws will take place on: 24 and 31 August, 7, 14, 21, 28 September, 5, 12, 19, 26 October 2012.
8. At the Final Draw on 26 October 2012, tickets will be drawn until all prizes are claimed.
9. A member claiming a prize must identify themselves and prove their identity and eligibility with their current member's card, in order to participate or for a prize to be awarded to them.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL CLUB PROMOTIONS
1. The following persons are not eligible to participate in the promotion or win:
• Club Officers
• Club Directors
• Club Employees
• Junior Members
• Suspended Members
2. Information on how to enter forms part of the promotion conditions.
3. The Club may require a winner to sign a legal acknowledgement, release and receipt in conformity with these conditions and in form reasonably required by the Club, in order to be paid a prize.
4. The Club's decisions in relation to the promotion may be made by the Club's CEO or his delegate(s) from time to time, (who may need not be a Club executive), including decisions in relation to the appointment of a judge or judges in relation to the promotion or a particular draw or draws. The Club's CEO also may (but is not obliged to) appoint one or more scrutineers for a particular draw or draws. Decisions by the Club's CEO, and subject to any countermanding decision by the Club's CEO also decisions by any such delegate or judge, are final. No such decision requires any consultation. No correspondence will be entered into in relation to any such decision.
5. The Club in its reasonable discretion may (but is not obliged to) cancel, suspend, terminate, modify or adjourn the promotion or any or all draws or any processes for the selection of any winner, where circumstances unexpected by the Club arise in relation to the promotion or a draw. Unexpected circumstances could include (but are not limited to) technical difficulties, power outages, infection by computer viruses, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or errors, or any other unexpected circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Club which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct as planned of the promotion. The Club's rights are subject to any direction given under any relevant legislation or in connection with any permit under which the promotion is conducted.
6. Any changes to the method of conducting this promotion as a result of (5) above will require approval by the authorizing agent (ie NSW Office of Liquor, Gaming & Racing).
7. Members wishing to be sure of entry should seek to complete transactions and to initiate ticket printing early, to reduce the risk of being excluded because of any shortage of service points or because of delay or crowding.
8. The Club is not responsible for and is not obliged to delay a draw or process of selecting a winner because of any delay or impediment in connection with the admission of members or in the completion of entries to the promotion or in seeking to attend any draw or to attend the process of selecting the winner.
9. Further, the Club is not responsible for members being located in areas within the Club's premises in which PA announcements are not able to be heard, nor for the audible integrity of those announcements.
10. A prize will not be awarded or paid where in the Club's reasonable opinion it arises as a result of a machine malfunction or technical malfunction.
11. Prizes are not transferable or negotiable.
12. Tax and financial implications may arise from winning a prize and winners should seek independent tax and financial advice before accepting. The Club is not responsible for any such advice.
13. No member is required to participate. Participation in the promotion is solely at the option of individual members. Members should not participate unless they completely understand the way in which the promotion operates and these conditions.
14. These conditions cannot be varied for an individual member.
15. The Club determines the designated clock/timepiece form which draws are made.
16. A person claiming or accepting a prize agrees that the club may use their name and photograph for the purpose of promoting the Club and agrees to co-operate with the Club to allow their photo to be taken for those purposes.
17. Neither the Club nor any of its officers, employees, contractors or agents, has any liability for any loss or damage of any nature or for injury or death, sustained in connection with the promotion or any prize, except any minimum liability which cannot be excluded by law (if any).
18. Members will be notified of this promotion through advertising in the Club's member's newsletter, and/or poster and flyers displayed within the Club premises, PA announcements, or by other means at the Club's discretion. All advertising material will contain the approved Permit Number.
