Promotion
1. The ‘Join us at Jupiters’ promotion (“Promotion”) will be conducted on Jupiters’ Facebook
page via a 3rd party custom application.
2. The Promotion will commence on Monday September 3, 2012 and entries must be
received by 11.59pm Thursday September 13, 2012 (“Promotion Period”). All times are
listed in Australian Queensland Eastern Standard Time.
Eligibility to enter
3. To be eligible to participate in the Promotion, during the Promotion Period, a person
must:
(a) be 18 years of age or older;
(b) not be excluded from any casino operated by Echo Entertainment
Limited for any reason; and
(c) must live within Australia .
A person who meets the above criteria will be referred to as an “Eligible Entrant”.
Entries
4. To enter the Promotion, Eligible Entrants must visit Jupiters’ Facebook page at
www.facebook.com/jupitersgc during the Promotional Period and ‘like’ the page to
access the promotion. Eligible Entrants must then answer in 25 words or less “which
show you'd love to be at, and why you're their number 1 fan?" ” in order to enter the
Promotion (“Entry”). Eligible Entrants must supply their name, email address, mobile
phone number and postcode in order to be contacted if they are determined the
Winner. All Eligible Entrants are required to tick two check boxes to agree to these
conditions of entry and confirm they are 18 years and over in order for their Entry to be
submitted (“Valid Entry”).
5. Eligible Entrants can enter the Promotion as many times as they like.
6. The Promotion app mechanics and database management will be managed by Present
Company.
7. On Friday September 14, 2012 Jupiters Hotel & Casino marketing staff will decide on three
winners (“Winners”) by determining the most creatively written Valid Entry for each of
the artists Macy Gray, Smash Mouth and Jay Sean ( each a “Winning Entry”). The Winners
will be notified via email within 48 hours and the name of the Winners will be announced
on Jupiters’ Facebook page on Friday September 14, 2012.
8. All Winners will be required to present valid photo identification at the Hotel Reception at
Jupiters at check-in in order to claim the Prize. In the event that the Winner cannot
provide suitable identification, the Winner will forfeit their prize in whole and no
substitute will be offered.
Unclaimed Prizes and Draws
9. If a Winning Entry is deemed not to comply with these conditions of entry, that Entry
will be discarded and a new winner of the Prize will be found by determining a further
Winner in accordance with Conditions 7. The Promoters decision is final and no
correspondence will be entered into.
Invalid Draws/Entries
10. If an Entry is gained by means other than in accordance with these conditions of entry,
the Entry may be deemed invalid.
11. If any Entry is illegible, not original, incomplete, appears to have been tampered with
or is otherwise invalid in accordance with these conditions of entry, the Promoter
reserves the right to refuse that Entry and deem it invalid.
The prize
12. The prizes are;
1. Macy Gray prize: Two tickets to Macy Gray and overnight accommodation in a
Superior Room (based on twin share) at Jupiters on Wednesday September 19, 2012.
Valued at $668.
2. Smash Mouth prize: Two tickets to Smash Mouth and overnight accommodation in
a Superior Room (based on twin share) at Jupiters on Sunday October 21, 2012.
Valued at $688.
3. Jay Sean prize: Two tickets to Jay Sean and overnight accommodation in a Superior
Room (based on twin share) at Jupiters on Sunday October 28, 2012. Valued at $688.
(“Prizes”).
13. Transport is not included in Prizes. The Winner and the guest of the Winner are
responsible for transport to and from Jupiters Hotel & Casino, Gold Coast.
14. All Prizes must be used on the date stipulated above. All Prizes must be taken as
offered and are not exchangeable, transferable, redeemable for cash or for resale. The
Winner is responsible for any other charges incurred.
15. In the event that a prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a
prize of equal or greater value.
16. The total prize pool of the Promotion is $2,044.
General
17. By entering this Promotion the entrant consents to Jupiters entering the email address
of the entrant into Jupiters’ database and the Promoter may potentially use the
entrants' email addresses for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in
any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid unless otherwise
advised by the entrant.
18. Directors, management and employees of Echo Entertainment Group (including any
related body corporate as defined in the Corporations Act 2001) or of any suppliers or
agencies associated with this Promotion and their ‘immediate families’ which has the
meaning given to that phrase in the Charitable and Non-Profit Gaming Act 1999
(Qld), are not eligible to participate in this Promotion. The Echo Entertainment Group
comprises, but is not limited to the businesses of The Star, Jupiters Hotel & Casino,
Treasury Casino & Hotel and Jupiters Townsville.
19. Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for alternate
prizes. Any tax liability or implication which attaches to a prize is the responsibility of
the Eligible Entrant claiming that Prize.
20. The Promoter and Facebook are not responsible for any loss, damage or injury
suffered or claimed (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss or
damage, personal injury or death, and direct or indirect loss or damage due to
negligence or technical or mechanical malfunction) by an Eligible Entrant in relation to
entering or participating in this Promotion or taking or using the prize offered (except
that which cannot be excluded by law).
21. Where that loss, damage or injury described in condition 25 was caused by breach of
these terms and conditions by the Promoter or the willful or negligent acts or
omissions of the Promoter, condition 25 does not apply with respect to the Promoter
only to the extent that such loss, damage or injury was caused by the Promoter’s or
Present Company’s breach, willful or negligent acts.
22. Conduct of the entire Promotion, including decisions on the eligibility of persons to
enter and validity of entry and prize, shall be the responsibility of, and at the absolute
discretion of, the Promoter. Continuation of the Promotion is at the Promoter’s
discretion.
23. To the extent that a situation or issue arises for which these conditions of entry make
no provision or in relation to which the relevant conditions of entry are unclear, the
Promoter reserves the right to make a decision regarding such situation or issue which
is not inconsistent with these conditions of entry.
24. While the Promoter intends to conduct the Promotion as offered, the Promoter
reserves the right to cancel or change the Promotion or a prize offered in the
Promotion if it can no longer continue the Promotion or offer a prize due to
circumstances outside the Promoter’s control. The Promoter reserves the right to
cancel or change the Promotion or a Prize offered in the Promotion at any time in its
sole and absolute discretion.
25. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late or non-received entries. The Promoter
does not guarantee the continuous or fault-free operation of the entry processes,
including entry validating and receipting processes, during the Promotion.
26. Any entrant who tampers, or attempts to tamper, with the entry processes or
tampers, or attempts to tamper with the processes used for the draws or who submits
an entry which is not valid in accordance with these terms will be subject to
disqualification at the discretion of the Promoter.
27. The Winners may be asked to participate in publicity or advertising at the request of
the Promoter. Participation in any such publicity or advertising is at the sole discretion
of the relevant Winner. The names of the Winners will not be published without their
consent except as announced at the Jupiters Gold Coast Facebook page and, as stated
above, they may be published in an email sent to all Eligible Entrants following the
judging.
28. Participation in the Promotion indicates acceptance of the terms and conditions
governing the Promotion. These terms and conditions will be available at the Jupiters
Gold Coast Executive Offices throughout the Promotion Period.
29. By participating in this Promotion, each entrant’s entry/entries becomes the property
of the Promoter and may be used for the Promoter’s business analysis and marketing
purposes in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy statement which can be viewed
at
www.jupitersgoldcoast.com.au. Privacy law allows entrants to access their personal
information held by the Promoter in certain circumstances. Failure to supply the
personal information requested may result in an entry being deemed invalid.
30. This Promotion is no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with,
Facebook. Eligible Entrants understand that they are providing their information to
Jupiters Gold Coast and not to Facebook.
