TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.    Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry.  All entries are via the website www.homelife.com.au. Eligible participants will be required but not limited to provide their own name, address, postcode, telephone number and answer in 25 words or less " Why should you win a Panasonic Microwave oven?" to complete their entry. Incomplete entries will be ineligible. Online competition entrants are required to become a member of the homelife online community. Homelife membership is free. You must be logged in to your homelife account to enter. Only one entry per member, per competition will be accepted.

2.    Entry is open to all permanent residents of Australia.

3.    Judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.  The Prizes cannot be transferred.  Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash.

4.    Judging of the entries will commence on 12 September, 2012 at the offices of the promoter. If the winner is under the age of 18 years the prize will be awarded to their parent or legal guardian. Entries will be judged on creativity of entry. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners.

5.    The promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity, proof of age and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the promoter.

6.    Prize winners are advised that Tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to the acceptance of the prize.

7.    The promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of the prize, if the promoter determines, in their absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the prize.  It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.

8.    If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.

9.    Employees and their immediate families of NewsLifeMedia Pty Ltd and their agencies and companies associated with the promotion are ineligible.   

10.  Winners will be notified by email within 25 days from the judging date.

11.  Prize values are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of printing.  All prize values are in Australian dollars.

12.    The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

13.    By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate and co-operate as required in all Editorial activities relating to the prize, including but not limited to being interviewed, photographed, filmed and/or chaperoned throughout the duration of the prize. In consideration for the promoter awarding the prize to the winner, the winner hereby assigns to the promoter all right, title and interest in and to all copyright in any material created pursuant to the winner’s participation in any aspect of the prize. The winner acknowledges that the Promoter is free to use the works and to exercise its rights in relation thereto and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

14.    All entries become the property of the promoter. All winning entries will be entered into a database and the promoter may use the winners names, addresses and telephone numbers for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid unless otherwise advised by the entrant.

15.    The collection and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this promotion is governed by the Privacy Notice which can be found at www.homelife.com.au.

16.    NewsLifeMedia Pty Ltd and its agencies and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged in transit.

17.    The competition commences on 12 September, 2012 at 10:00 (AEST) and concludes on 10 October, 2012 at 23:59 (AEST).

18.    Prize and value are as follows:

1 of 2 x Panasonic Prestige Inverter Sensor Microwave ovens valued RRP $599 each.

Total prize pool:  $1198 RRP

19.    In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize. The promoter takes no responsibility for any changes in the value of the prizes from the time of writing the terms & conditions.

20.    As per the provisions of the New Zealand Privacy Act, all personal details of New Zealand entrants will be stored at the office of the promoter.  A request to access, update and correct any information should be directed to that office.

21.    The promoter is: NewsLifeMedia of 180 Bourke Road, Alexandria NSW 2015. ABN: 57 088 923 906.

22.     Delivery and standard installation will be the sole responsibility of EcoSmart Solar. Standard installation includes basic replacement of an electric hot water system any additional installation required will be charged to the winner after advice and confirmation to proceed.

23.  The winner must be the homeowner of the house/unit where the prize will be installed.

24.  The winner cannot claim any state or federal rebates that currently run during the campaign.

25.     The Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) generated from the installation of the system will be automatically be surrendered and become the property of EcoSmart and therefore the customer cannot sell or assign the rights to the certificates to anyone else.

26.      In the instance that a solar heat pump cannot be installed in the home, an alternative solar heater will be offered in its place to suit the home. In the instance that no Ecosmart solar system is suitable, either system can be transferred to a relative or friend that is a home owner and currently has an electric hot water system only. The prize can not be redeemed for cash.

27.       Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of that winner.  If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter may substitute a prize of similar nature and/or like or greater value.
