Summer means music festivals. Music festivals mean cash. Cash means work. Work means lame. Lame isn’t really a word so it doesn’t mean anything.

Carlton Dry on the other hand means: HELLO BEER.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1.Information regarding prizes and how to enter forms part of these conditions. By entering, entrants accept these conditions.

2.The Promoter encourages consumers to enjoy alcohol responsibly. Legal aged consumers are advised to consider the safe drinking levels recommended in the National Health and Medical Research Council Australian Guidelines to Reduce Health Risks from Drinking Alcohol. A full version of these Guidelines is available at http://www.nhmrc.gov.au/_files_nhmrc/file/publications/synopses/ds10-alcohol.pdf

3.All publicly displayed advertising material for this competition will include a prominent message regarding responsible consumption of alcohol. Entry and continued participation in this competition is subject to each venue’s/outlet’s liquor serving policy.

4.Entry is open only to Australian residents aged 18 or over who are available to take the major prize on a date which coincides with the music festival nominated by the entrant at the time of entry, except directors, officers, management and employees (and the immediate families of directors, officers, management and employees) of the Promoter, of the participating venues, outlets or of the agencies or companies associated with this competition.

5.The competition begins at 9.00am (AEST) on 01/10/12 and closes at 11.59pm (AEDT) on 30/11/12 (Competition Period). During the Competition Period, this competition will only be conducted at selected liquor licensed venues (Venues) and outlets (Outlets) in Australia. Entry via a Venue:

6.To enter via a Venue, consumers must, during the Competition Period:

 (a) make a qualifying purchase as follows:

 (i) NSW entrants only: purchase a pot, schooner, pint or bottle of Carlton Dry or Carlton Dry Lime beer from a participating Venue (Venue Eligible Purchase) for on premise consumption to receive a game card (Game Card) (while Game Card stocks last) and reveal the unique code on the Game Card; or

(ii) entrants outside NSW: purchase any 2 pots, schooners, pints or bottles of Carlton Dry or Carlton Dry Lime beer (in any combination of variant or serve) in one transaction from a participating Venue for you and a friend to enjoy (Venue Eligible Purchase) for on premise consumption to receive a Game Card (while Game Card stocks last) and reveal the unique code on the Game Card; and

(b) enter by visiting www.carltondry.com.au (Website), following the links to the promotional page, selecting the music festival tile of their choice and fully completing and submitting their online entry, including by providing their unique code, the festival city of their choice and any additional information as required by the Promoter. Consumers are responsible for their own costs associated with accessing the Internet. Entry via an Outlet:

7.To enter via an Outlet, consumers must, during the Competition Period:

 (a) purchase a specially marked 6 or 24 pack of Carlton Dry or Carlton Dry Lime beer from a participating Outlet (Outlet Eligible Purchase) for off premise consumption and locate either the barcode (for 6 pack only) printed on the outside of the pack or the unique code (for 24 pack only) printed on the inside of the pack; and
(b) enter by visiting www.carltondry.com.au, following the links to the promotional page, selecting the music festival tile of their choice and fully completing and submitting their online entry, including by providing their barcode(s) or unique code(s), the festival city of their choice and any additional information as required by the Promoter. Consumers are responsible for their own costs associated with accessing the Internet.

8.Each entrant will receive an online notification confirming their successful entry into the competition. By entering this promotion, entrants consent to receiving this electronic message.

9.All entries must be received by the Promoter during the Competition Period. Entries are deemed to be received at the time they are received by the Promoter’s database and not at the time of submission by the entrant. In NSW Venue entrants may enter no more than once per day. Outside NSW, Venue entrants may enter up to 4 times per day provided that in ACT entrants are limited to 5 standard drinks per day and in QLD entrants are limited to 4 standard drinks per day.

10.Each entry must be based on a separate Venue Eligible Purchase or Outlet Eligible Purchase and either a separate unique code or barcode. Entrants are limited to a maximum total of 100 entries (a maximum of 50 entries via Venues and 50 entries via Outlets) over the Competition Period. Entrants who make a Venue Eligible Purchase must retain their original Game Card(s) and entrants who make an Outlet Eligible Purchase must retain the original barcode(s) or unique code(s) (cut out from the specially marked pack) and original itemised receipt(s) from each Outlet Eligible Purchase to verify each entry. Failure to provide this/these (without alteration) to the Promoter upon request may, at the Promoter’s discretion, result in an invalid entry (and, at the Promoter’s discretion, in all of the entrant’s entries being invalid).

11.The Promoter is not liable for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence due to error, omission, tampering, deletion, theft, communications failure or otherwise. The Promoter has no control over communications networks and is not liable for any problems associated with them due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. The Promoter is not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) costs incurred. Entrants who enter using multiple email addresses or aliases may be disqualified.

12.There are 3,720 instant win prizes to be awarded during the Competition Period. The instant win prizes will be awarded via computer generated random instant win at Prime Focus, 403/62 Beach Street, Port Melbourne, VIC 3207. Instant win prizes are:

• 1,220 Major Prizes: each a double pass ticket (for the winner and one companion aged 18+) to the music festival nominated by the winner during the entry process valued at up to $720 (inc GST).

At least twenty (20) instant win major prizes will be awarded on each day of the Competition Period from all valid entries received up to the time of determination of the prize winners on that day. If, on the date of determination of any instant prize winners, it is not possible to award twenty (20) instant win major prizes due to insufficient valid entries nominating the relevant festivals corresponding to those major prizes, the number of prizes that are possible to be awarded on that day will be awarded, and the remaining prizes that would have otherwise been awarded on that day will be carried over to the next date on which the Promoter has received sufficient valid entries to award those instant win major prizes.

17.All other costs associated with the major prize, including but not limited to any meals, travel, accommodation and any other ancillary costs are the responsibility of the winner and their companion, as incurred. 20.Remaining prizes at the end of the Competition Period will be entered into the second chance draw. Entrants with an entry which has not won a major prize (and who have not already exceeded the maximum number of major prizes per entrant) will receive an automatic entry into the second chance prize draw. The second chance draw will take place at 12noon (AEDT) on 04/12/12 at Prime Focus, 403/62 Beach Street, Port Melbourne, VIC 3207. Any winner(s) in this draw will be notified in writing. 22.The prize winners (and their companions) must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the winning of any prize, free of charge, and they consent to the Promoter using their name and image in promotional material.

26.The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

27.Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value. If a prize or any element of a prize is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may substitute for that prize or element of that prize another item of equal or higher value as determined by the Promoter, subject to the approval of the gaming authorities in each state and territory if required.

28.Without limiting the previous paragraph, if any festival is abandoned, called off or postponed for any reason, the relevant winners forfeit the double pass tickets to the festival and no cash or alternative tickets will be substituted for that prize.

32.The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).

33.Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage or delay in transit to prizes.

34.The Promoter may communicate or advertise this competition using Facebook. However the competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.
