1. This competition (the “Promotion”) is conducted by Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Australia Pty Limited ABN 39 152 425 735 of Level 30, 1 Market Street, Sydney, NSW 2000 (the “Promoter”).
2. Entry to the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. By entering the Promotion, entrants accept and acknowledge full responsibility for their decision to participate in the Promotion and to take the Prize if they are the winner.
3. All entry instructions and prize information published by the Promoter form part of these Terms and Conditions.
4. The Promotion is open to all residents of Australia aged 13 years or over. It is assumed that entrants are 13 years of age or over as they have a registered Facebook account and are adhering correctly to the Facebook platform terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right to request any entrant to provide documentary evidence confirming his/her age. Employees and immediate families of Universal Sony and their associated companies and agents and the immediate families of such employees are not eligible to enter the Promotion.
5. The Promotion commences at 10:00hrs (EST) on Thursday 11 October 2012, and ends at 10:00hrs (EST) on Thursday 8 November 2012.
6. The Promotion is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining a winner.
7. Entrance to the Promotion is via The Viewing Lounge Facebook timeline (
www.facebook.com/TheViewingLounge) and requires the electronic contact form to be completed and the question to be answered ‘In 25 words or less, finish off this verse!”
8. The answers will be judged on 50% creativity and 50% articulation. The answer deemed to be both the most creative and most articulate of all valid entries received as judged by the Promoter in its sole discretion will be determined as the winner of the Promotion.
9. Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. An Entrant’s entry must not be, without limitation:
a) Late;
b) Delayed;
c) Incomplete;
d) Incomprehensible;
e) Unlawful;
f) Obscene;
g) Defamatory;
h) Libellous;
i) Threatening;
j) Pornographic;
k) Harassing;
l) Hateful;
m) Racially or ethnically offensive;
n) Capable of encouraging conduct that would be considered a criminal offence;
o) Capable of violating any law; and/or
p) Capable of giving rise to civil liability.
11. All entries become the property of the Promoter and cannot be returned.
12. The Promoter may make copies of or publish any entry in any form or media.
13. There is no limit on entries per entrant.
14. 3 (three) valid entrants will be selected as winners based on the criteria set out in Section 8.
15. The winners will receive one (1) Prize.
16. The Prize consists of:
a) One (1) Westfield XS Gift Card with a RRP of $750.00.
b) One (1) Westfield Style Session Gift Card with a RRP of $250.00.
17. Total prize is valued at AUD$1000.00
18. The Prize (in whole or in part) is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
19. The judging will take place on Monday 12 November 2012 at the Promoter’s offices located at Level 30, 1 Market Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
20. The winners will be contacted by email.
21. If a winner is unable to be contacted or does not claim their Prize within 7 calendar days of judging, their Prize will be forfeited. In the event of forfeiture a further draw will be conducted by the Promoter within 14 days of the initial draw and a new winner will be selected.
22. You must supply your correct address and contact details, and must enter those details correctly on the electronic entry form, in order for your entry to be valid.
23. Total Prize Pool value is AUD$3000.00.
24. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value, specifications or individual components of the Prize.
25. Entrants will be invited to opt-in to receive marketing communications from the Promoter. The decision by entrants to grant or withhold their consent in relation to the use of their information for marketing purposes will not affect the selection of the winner.
26. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry or entrant that fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
27. The Promoter reserves the right to close the competition earlier than advertised and the winner will be drawn from entries received to that time
28. This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. By entering, you understand that any personally identifiable information you provide in connection with the Promotion you are providing to Universal Sony and not to Facebook. The personally identifiable information you provide in connection with the Promotion will be collected, stored and used in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, located at

Entrants (or their parent or legal guardian if entrant is not the age of majority in his/her state of residence) agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter and Facebook, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any claims made by the winner, entrants, or any other third parties, related in any way to the operation of this Promotion as well as any other claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any Prize or participation in any Promotion-related activity or participation in this Promotion.
30. Special terms in regard to the Westfield XS Card prize: These conditions apply to use of the Westfield XS Gift Card (gift card), issued by Westfield Gift Cards Pty Limited ACN 131 171 663 as Trustee of the Westfield Gift Card Trust (we, us, our). Westfield may, in its complete discretion, refuse to sell gift cards to any person at any time for any reason. Purchasing or using the gift card means that you accept these conditions.
If you let another person use your gift card, you must tell them that they will be bound by these conditions. NSW law applies to this agreement. By entering into this agreement you unconditionally submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of NSW. An administration charge is payable on first issue of a gift card.
a) Card may be used to purchase goods or services at retailers in Australia with “EFTPOS” facilities who accept the card or online at westfield.com.au, when the gift card has enough unused value to make the purchase. Some retailers may choose not to accept the gift card.
b) Gift cards will be activated 24-36 hrs after purchase, cannot be redeemed for cash, reloaded, returned for a refund, have their balances consolidated to a new gift card, or be replaced after expiry and are not legal tender, account cards, credit or debit cards or securities.
c) Keep your gift card secure - anyone holding the gift card can use its value to make
purchases. If your gift card is lost or stolen, or you suspect an unauthorised transaction, immediately report this by calling 1300 78 40 50. We may be able to stop gift card value being used, but require the card number, original balance and expiry date.
d) We may replace a faulty, lost or stolen gift card. Any replacement gift card will have the same unused value (at the time of replacement) and expiry date. Apply at the Concierge Desk at any Westfield in Australia or call 1300 78 40 50. You must present the original receipt and reference number (located on the back of the gift card). Make a record of the reference number and keep separate from your receipt. Gift cards will be void if they are defaced, mutilated, altered or tampered with in any way. We may subject gift cards to verification and security checks in our absolute discretion.
e) If you have a query or complaint about the gift card, please raise it through any of our contact channels. We are not liable for the availability, quality or fitness for purpose of any goods or services purchased with the gift card. Any dispute about goods or services purchased with the gift card must be resolved with the supplier. Except for rights which cannot be excluded, any conditions or warranties implied or imposed by legislation or otherwise are excluded from these conditions of use. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to replacing faulty gift cards.
f) If you think there has been a mistaken transaction on your gift card contact the store where the mistake was made.
g) Our contact channels are calls to 1300 78 40 50, online at westfield.com.au/giftcards or the Concierge Desk in any Westfield shopping centre in Australia.
h) We may cancel any gift card, or the gift card scheme, for any reason at any time without notice. If so, we may either provide a refund or a replacement gift card of equivalent value unless we reasonably suspect fraud in relation to a gift card. The gift card remains our property.
i) We can vary or replace these conditions from time to time (including to introduce new fees) by publishing a notice in a newspaper circulating throughout Australia at least 30 days before the change. The current version of these conditions is available through our contact channels.
j) IMPORTANT: – EXPIRY DATE: THIS CARD WILL EXPIRE ONE YEAR AFTER THE DATE OF ISSUE – SOME MERCHANTS MAY CHOOSE NOT TO ACCEPT THE GIFT CARD. Gift cards are valid for one year from the Date of Issue. After the gift card has expired, it is no longer valid. All transactions will be declined. Unused value will not be refunded and will become our property.
