On Sunday 21 October, hundreds of unwitting World Movies Secret Cinema guests were thrown into a Battle Royale-themed experience on Sydney Harbour.
After meeting at King St Wharf, the crowd boarded a boat unaware of their destination. The final location was revealed as Goat Island where guests were treated to martial arts training, colourful performances, Japanese food and drinks, and a thrilling screening of cult classic Battle Royale.
One of the surprises of the evening was that attendees were each invited to stage a unique death scene – in true, blood-soaked style. The World Movies Secret Cinema Death Scene Competition is NOW OPEN on our facebook page.
The participants in the #1 voted photo will WIN $2,000 to share and one lucky person will WIN $1,000 just for voting.
Check out the event video here and if you’re in Melbourne and Brisbane stay tuned as we’ll be heading your way early next year.
World Movies will screen the Director’s Cut of Battle Royale and Battle Royale II next Tuesday and Wednesday.
