TERMS & CONDITIONS.
By entering into the Neighbours – Wedding Dance Competition, you agree to the following terms
and conditions together with any specific instructions and terms for the competition which may be
mentioned on-air, in any electronic messages, or on the website, or communicated to participants in
any other way (“Terms and Conditions of Entry”). Such Terms and Conditions of Entry shall prevail
in the event of any inconsistency.
1. GENERAL INFORMATION
a. Information on how to enter this competition forms part of the terms of entry.
b. The competition commences on 16 October 2010 at 9am (AEST) and concludes on 30
October 2012 at midnight (AEST) (the “Promotion Period”)
c. The competition will be advertised via promo spots on Channel Eleven, the Neighbours
website
www.neighbours.com, and Neighbours social media properties.
d. This is a game of skill competition and chance plays not part in determining the
winners.
2. ENTRY ELIGIBILITY
a. Entry is open to all residents of Australia of all ages, however any minor must be
accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age when redeeming the prize.
b. Cost of entry via the internet is free. Internet connection rates apply.
c. Employees and their immediate families of FremantleMedia Australia Pty Ltd, and
their associated agencies and companies associated with the Promotion are not
eligible to enter.
3. HOW TO ENTER
a. Entrants are required to submit their details including (but not limited to) name, address,
phone number and e-mail address to verify their identity.
b. To enter, participants will be required to create a video following the directions
outlined in the Promotional material; upload it to YouTube and submit the link via the
promotional entry form available on the Promoter’s website.
c. All entries must be received within the Promotion Period.
d. There is no entry limit provided each entry is substantially unique.
e. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries
including entries not received by the Promoter or delays in the delivery of the entry
due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.
f. All entries must be free from copyright and must be the entrants own and original
work. FremantleMedia and the prize sponsor shall not be held liable should the
entrant be engaged in such activities. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be
deemed invalid.
g. All entries become the property of the Promoter and may be used by FremantleMedia
across its social media, online or broadcast properties. All personal details of winning
entrants will be stored electronically at the office of the Promoter or its agency acting
on its behalf in relation to this promotion. A request to access, update or correct any
information should be directed to the Promoter. A copy of the Promoter’s privacy
policy in relation to treatment of personal information collected may be obtained by

h. The entrant/s hereby assigns irrevocably to the Promoter all right, title and interest (including
without limitation the entire copyright, including but not only a present assignment of future
copyright) to the results and proceeds of the entrants contributions to the Promotion
including but not limited to any copyright in the entry sent to the Promoter and including but
not limited to any literary, dramatic, musical or artistic work (within the meaning of the
Copyright Act 1968 (Cth)) incorporated therein in which the entrant owns copyright.
i. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the entrant/s unconditionally give the Promoter
and/or You Tube their consent to any act or omission that would otherwise infringe on any
moral rights they may have in and in relation to their entries, and they undertake that they
will not institute, maintain or support any claim or proceeding for infringement of any moral
rights they may have in and in relation to their entries.
4. PRIZE DETAILS
a. The prize winner will receive the following:
i. Return flights for two people from nearest capital city to Proserpine, Qld
ii. 7 nights’ accommodation for 2 people at Airlie Beach Hotel in an ocean view
room.
iii. $50 food & beverage voucher per person per day;
iv. Full Day Great Barrier Reef Cruise for 2 with Cruise Whitsundays;
v. Whitehaven Beach and Daydream Island Combo Cruise for 2 with Cruise
Whitsundays; and
vi. Panorama Tour comprising scenic flight for 2 over the Great Barrier Reef,
Whitehaven Beach and the Whitsunday Islands, glass bottom boat coral viewing
and snorkeling in a private lagoon, plus a swim and sparkling wine on
Whitehaven Beach from Air Whitsunday
Total (approximate) prize value: $6,610 (depending on the winners’ nearest capital city).
b. Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash.
c. The winner and their companion are responsible for all other expenses including
spending money, meals (unless specified), drinks, transfers (unless specified), laundry
charges, activities (unless specified), incidentals, taxes (excluding departure and any
other flight associated taxes included within the prize), energy surcharges, gratuities,
services charges travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is
highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of
unforeseen circumstances.
d. If the winners is under the age of 18 as at the date of the judging, an adult must
accompany the minor in the participation of the prize.
e. The winner and their travelling companion must travel at the same time, must depart
from the same capital city and are responsible for transport from their residence to
their nearest capital city for flight departure. If the winner is from Tasmania, ACT or
NT connecting flights from these cities to the nearest flight departure capital city will
be included in the prize package for the winner and travelling companions only).
f. The prize must be taken on the date stipulated by the Promoter. The prize cannot be
changed once the booking has been made. Any alterations to confirmed flights and/or
accommodation details will be at the expense of the winner and their parent/legal

g. Air tickets are available on the regular scheduled services of each airline and are
subject to seasonal embargos. Flight itinerary may have to be adjusted depending on
the airlines departure city and their current flight schedule. Frequent Flyer points are
not available from any airline.
h. A credit card imprint or cash deposit may be required from the winner at check-in to
the hotel, for all incidental charges. Once accommodation vouchers are issued they are
non-changeable.
i. It is the traveller’s personal responsibility to ensure that they have valid
documentation, which meets the requirements of government authorities at every
destination. Any fines, penalties, payments or expenditures incurred as a result of such
documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be the sole
responsibility of the travellers.
j. Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses become the
responsibility of the winner.
k. If for any reason any element of the prize becomes unavailable for any reason, which
is out of the Promoter’s control then a similar prize to equal value, will be awarded in
lieu.
l. Once prizes have left the Promoter’s premises, the Promoter takes no responsibility
for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit.
m. Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash.
n. Prizes will be awarded to persons named in the entry only. The promoter reserves the
right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of the prize, if the
promoter determines, in their absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the mental or
physical condition necessary to be able to safely participate in the prize. It is a
condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release
in a form determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.
o. By accepting the prize, the winner/s agrees to participate in and co-operate as
required with all reasonable media editorial requests relating to the prize, including
but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, filmed and throughout the
duration of the prize.
p. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the
prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be
forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu.
q. Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices at the time of printing
(inclusive of GST). The promoter accepts no responsibility for change in prize value
between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
5. PRIZE JUDGING
a. Each valid entrant who has entered the competition over the duration of the
Promotional Period will be entered into the pool of entries.
b. The winner(s) will be notified of their prize in writing within 7 days of the judging.
c. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof
of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity in
order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable
for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot Page 4 of 6
provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will
be offered.
d. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any
entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity,
potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant
who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance
with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter,
engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading,
deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion
and/or Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter
becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry is of a type described in this
clause.
e. Prizes will be awarded to the person(s) named in the entry. Should an entrant’s
contact details change during the Promotion Period, it is the entrant's responsibility to
notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an
entry should be directed to Promoter.
f. One winner will be judged from all entries received during the Promotional Period. The
judging will take place at The Promoter’s premises, at 100 Hawthorn Road, Forest Hill,
Victoria 3131, commencing Monday 5
th
November 2012 at 17:30 (AEST). The most
creative, original and unique entries as determined by the Promoter will be deemed
the winners. Judges/Promoters decision is final and no correspondence will be entered
into.
6. STANDARD TERMS
a. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any
entry which, in the opinion of Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity,
potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant
who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance
with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter,
engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading,
deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion
and/or Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter
becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry are of a type described in
this clause.
b. The Promoter and associates agencies accept no responsibility for any breach of contract or
any infringement or other violation of copyright or any other intellectual property rights or
proprietary rights through the acceptance of entries into this contest and each entrant takes
full responsibility for any such claims made in relation to their entry.
c. Each entrant warrants that all works submitted are original works of the entrant and do not
infringe the rights of any third party. Entries that are not the original work of the entrant will
be deemed invalid and will be at the determination of the judging panel.
d. In the event that there are multiple people featured in a video the entrant/s who have
submitted the video acknowledge that they have received permission from all peoples in the
video to use their likeness for the purpose of this promotion and waive all rights in accordance
with their terms and conditions.
e. Any entry that is made on behalf of an Entrant by a third party will be invalid.Page 5 of 6
f. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the winner must comply with all the
conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements. It is a condition of
accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form
determined by the promoter in its absolute discretion.
g. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all
aspects of the prize, if the Promoter determines, in their absolute discretion, that a
winner is not in the mental or physical condition necessary to be able to safely
participate in the prize. It is also a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may
be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its
absolute discretion
h. FremantleMedia Australia Pty Ltd and the prize sponsor advises that the winners seek
their own tax advice and be responsible for reporting any monies earned to the
Australian Taxation Office.
i. In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or
significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the
dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not
limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil
unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel
the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
j. FremantleMedia Australia Pty Ltd and the prize sponsor shall not be liable for any loss
or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or
consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with
any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter
and its sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either
caused by the phone user or for any of the equipment or programming associated with
or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof
that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any
omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission,
communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or
destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
k. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who
the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged
in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and
proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or
other compensation from such an offender are reserved
l. FremantleMedia Australia Pty Ltd, their associated agencies and , companies and
sponsor assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion,
defect, delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure, theft or
destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries, and reserve the right to
take any action that may be available.
m. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due
to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud,
technical failures or any causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or
affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this
promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any Page 6 of 6
individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available,
and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
n. Entrants may choose opt-in to receive further information from the Promoter, and
their associated agencies and companies if they check the appropriate check box on
the competition form. All opt-in entries will be entered into a database and The
Promoter may use the entrant’s names, addresses and telephone numbers for future
promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice
and without any fee being paid unless otherwise advised by the entrant. By opting-in,
entrants confirm that they allow their details to be used for this purpose. If entrants
no longer consent to their details being used for future marketing purposes, the
entrant should contact The Promoter on their details set out below. Any request to
update, modify or delete the entrant’s details should be directed to the Promoter.
o. Entry and continued participation in the Promotion is dependent on entrants following
and acting in accordance with the YouTube Terms of Service which can be viewed at

r. All entrants unconditionally and irrevocably release and discharge YouTube from any
