2012 Melbourne Cup Free Bet Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions will be published in the Public Notices of The West Australian and on InfoTABs on Monday 5 November, 2012.
1. Eligible participants in the promotion agree to abide by the terms and conditions set out in this document (‘Terms and Conditions’).
2. The promoter is: Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA), 14 Hasler Rd, Osborne Park, Western Australia, 6017, ABN 21 347 055 603
3. The TAB 2012 Melbourne Cup Free Bet promotional period operates from TAB opening to 9pm WST on Monday 5 November, 2012.
4. To be eligible for the free bet, customers must purchase a copy of The West Australian on Monday 5 November, 2012 and collect the free bet voucher.
5. The free bet voucher can only be redeemed at any TAB retail outlet during the timeframe detailed in clause 3. The free bet vouchers are no longer valid after 9pm Monday 5 November 2012.
6. 240,000 free TAB bet vouchers have been produced for this promotion. The total prize pool is a maximum of $240,000.
7. The free bet voucher entitles the bearer to one First 4 Mystery Bet to the value of $1 placed on the Melbourne Cup. Upon presentation of the voucher TAB staff will process a $1 First 4 Mystery bet and return the bet ticket to the customer.
8. Once the $1 First 4 Mystery bet has been placed the bet is final, it cannot be cancelled or swapped for a different bet.
9. If, after the free bet voucher redemption one or more of the selections is subsequently scratched customers may
i. Cancel the bet at the same TAB it was redeemed at, before the Melbourne Cup. This will result in a refund which will be placed onto another selection.
ii. Redeem a refund at any TAB upon dividends being released after the Melbourne Cup.
10. Only one voucher per customer will be accepted.
11. The free bet is not transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
12. The free bet voucher cannot be used as payment for any bet, other than a Melbourne Cup $1 First 4 Mystery bet placed by TAB staff at the time of presentation.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity any presented vouchers and reserves the right to disqualify any redeemer who manipulates the free bet process or supplies invalid information that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
14. The promoter is not responsible for any error, omission or failure to deliver agreed goods or services provided by suppliers or contractors.
15. The promoters accept no responsibility for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property arising out of or in connection with the competition or the competition prize, either during or after the competition.
16. The promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
17. Employees and immediate families of the promoter and its agencies and suppliers and contractors to this promotion are not eligible to enter.
18. For the purpose of this promotion, immediate families is defined as Mother, Father, sister, brother, spouse (including de facto), offspring, living in the same premises.
19. Entrants into this promotion must be 18 years of age or older.
