Christmas Challenge
1. This contest is open only to Australian residents aged 18 years or over. The contest opens on 01/11/2012. Entries close at 11:59pm (Sydney time) on 30/11/2012.
2. The promotional material, information on how to enter and prize details form part of these terms and conditions. To be eligible to enter the competition, you must reply in accordance with the conditions specified in this promotion. Employees of Reader's Digest and members of their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
3. Players must register for the Christmas Challenge at
www.readersdigest.com.au. To be eligible for the prize draw, players must find all 28 animals hidden within the Reader’s Digest website before 30/11/2012.
4. Limit one (1) entry per person and one (1) registration per email address.
5. The prize will be drawn at Reader’s Digest, 80 Bay St Ultimo NSW 2007. The draw will take place on 04/12/2012 at 10:30am.
6. The first eligible entry drawn will win a Samsung Galaxy SIII mobile phone valued at $697. Total value of the promotion is $697.
7. The winner will be notified by email and published on the Promoter’s website -www.readersdigest.com.au.
8. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason the winner does not take the prize within three months, then the prize will be forfeited. The Promoter may conduct such further draws at the same time and place as the original draw as is necessary on 04/03/2013 in order to distribute the prize.
9. If the prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification. Prize is not transferable or exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
10. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and players (including a player’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any player who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
11. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the contest and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, Australian regulatory authorities, service providers and prize suppliers. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning players. Players should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter's decision on all matters pertaining to this contest is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, misdirected or delayed entries, for any technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any human error which may occur in the receipt or processing of entries. Further, the Promoter accepts no responsibility for damage to computer systems from downloading any information necessary to participate in the contest. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or modify the contest at any time if the Reader’s Digest on-line service is no longer available or is compromised by any virus, bugs, or other intervention beyond the Promoter’s control. In either of these events, the prize may be awarded based on entries received prior to date of termination.
13. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any player who tampers with the entry process or is in any other way responsible for compromising the orderly operation of the contest. If this contest is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any player; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the contest, as appropriate.

Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or player; or (f) use of a prize.

Players consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this contest (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
