Set amidst sweeping scenery characterised by the lemon groves, cypress trees and villas of Italy, Love is All You Need is director Susanne Bier’s latest project, which plays on the genre of romantic comedy. The story follows two seemingly lost souls as they travel to Italy for the wedding of their children. Businessman and widower Philip (Pierce Brosnan) is still bitter about the loss of his wife when he meets the cheery Ida (Trine Dyrholm), who has recently discovered that her husband had been having an affair. As the two spend more time together, they begin to teach one another the meaning of happiness.
