The iMums are very pleased to launch our series of iPad Mini giveaways with our first prize package sponsored by four wonderful developers – Little Learning Tots, SoGaBee, Loeschware and Heppi Apps. The iPad mini is a great size for children – lighter and easier to carry than the original iPad, but with access to the same great catalog of apps. The prize package, which totals to over $400, includes all you need to get started:-

Heppi Apps (pronounced ‘happy’ in English) is based in The Netherlands and was founded by Esther Naalden, a mom of two and a children’s book author and illustrator. Esther has written many children’s books in Dutch. Heppi’s apps star a loveable giraffe named Bo, and are aimed at children aged 2-6 years old. They have bright colorful cheerful graphics and fun interactive elements. The iMums have reviewed Bo’s Dinnertime, Bo’s jigsaws and Bo’s Bedtime- which won the prestigious Dutch Media Toddler Award 2012 for Best App. Bo’s Bedtime is a great app for practicing bedtime routines, and working on sequencing, fine motor skills, listening and matching. Loeschware was founded by Wendy and John Watts a brother and sister who share an interest in children, art, education design and most importantly iPhones. All of the music and artwork in their apps is original in the apps. The iMums One recently reviewed Five Little Monkey’s Jumping on the Bed which is a fun twist to the original song complete with a variety of touchable objects, early counting skills, monkey’s and the Five Little Monkey’s Song all with an original music score. Among the apps that Loeschware has designed, they are lucky enough to have them deemed an “Essential iTunes App” to own for your device. Little Learning Tots is an educational app developer based in Singapore. They aim to provide quality apps that make learning fun, so that children will stay in love with learning, for life. Their apps include Alphabet Jumbled and Fido’s Treehouse, which have both been reviewed by The iMums. Fido’s Treehouse Scavenger Hunt is an interactive app that allows your child to go on a virtual scavenger hunt. It has “free play” and “challenge” modes. In the challenge mode children follow a set of clues and enjoy the thrill of the hunt in this hidden object game. The graphics and artwork along with the ability to hunt for treasure will keep your child engaged and playing for a long time. SoGaBee was founded by Marcel Widarto to create educational apps. The company is a family affair with Marcel, his brother and sister-in-law working on the apps, and his wife and children testing them. SoGaBee was named after his daughter So(phia), son Ga(be) and the company mascot a Bee. Their apps include Sight Words Hangman, Spelling with Pixopop and SoGaBee Math Facts Fun – all of which have been reviewed by The iMums. Maths Facts Fun has three sections: Flashcards, Multiple Choice and Fill in the Blank. In each section you can choose whether to work on addition, subtraction, multiplication or division. The app features three cute characters, has a built-in reward system, data tracking with multiple student profiles, Tricky Problems lists and Custom Levels.
Cygnett designs, develops and manufactures innovative digital accessories for the world’s most popular gadgets and technology.
